BioWare will release “Extended Cut,” an expanded ending sequence for Mass Effect 3, on June 26 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, it said Friday.
On its official blog, BioWare wrote that the 1.9 GB of Extended Cut sequences will expand on the game’s ending, but not alter the existing one. Same, i wanted to do all my me2 playthroughs in me3 but after i finished 1, i don't want to play it anymore...
i swear if it's just a "you win!" addon they missed the entire point of what the fans were complaining about

I really didn't want this extended ending shit. I just wanted to wash my hands and move on from the game.
Like Minority Report had a terrible ending but I just kinda moved on with my life after watching it.
Not going to play it though.

People didn't care about the ending to F3 as such, it was the fact that people wanted to explore and couldn't after the ending. Also that it didn't even like, at least warn you before you completely locked out your chance to go back and explore more.
Well, I'm glad they want to extend the most painful ending of a good game I've suffered though - that should be fun.

Also I think I'm going to be happy with this extended cut. Granted it still wont be a good ending, but at least I'll get closure and seeing my decisions have some kind of meaning be hind them. And thats good enough for me.
