Yet his selection also raises a couple of key questions: Will Christie continue to be an active member of Trump’s campaign as he begins to plan his transition? I seriously think it's going to be Kasich, Kasich is a good compromise and can get the Republican establishment to work with Trump and Kasich will help get the vote of Ohio, a pivotal swing state.

Practically everyone Republican who has ran against him is on his team now except Jeb and Cruz.

Ben Carson and Chris Christie immediately adopted him as soon as they dropped out.

Or rather I should say the important/popular Republicans are supporting him now except Jeb and Cruz. The initial lineup had a dozen different guys but these were the main ones.
