Tens of thousands of documents, containing 22,000 names, addresses, telephone numbers and family contacts of Islamic State jihadis, have been obtained by Sky News.
Nationals from at least 51 countries, including the UK, had to give up their most personal information as they joined the terror organisation.
Only when the 23-question form was filled in were they inducted into IS.
A lot of the names and their new Islamic State names on the registration forms are well known.
The informant also said IS, Assad and the Kurds were all working together to defeat the opposition... so there is that.
With some of the data being confirmed legitimate this might be a pretty critical piece of info for unpicking cells "back home"
Going to order so much fucking pizza.

I'd hope Sky gave the data to an intelligence agency and let them sift through it for a bit before breaking this. If they haven't there is a chance the cells may go to ground and do something violent immediately.

I don't think anyone would be willing to deliver pizza to ISIS :v:

Yeah I was thinking about that. Tbh it would be more responsible to not announce this, if sleeper cells know they're about to get compromised then they might do something terrible, knowing that they'll get arrested soon anyway.
I hope they at least waited a while for intelligence services to act on it, but I suppose their priority is making sure the story isn't broken by someone else and that sky gets credit for the reveal; above making sure the data is used to its best ability.

Sleeper cells in Europe and the US (and china and russia presumably). Every pound and euro they spend on unwanted pizza is pounds and euros out of the pockets of terrorists + if they don't pay then police might get involved and end up accidentally arresting terrorists. What farce that'd be.
i wonder what the questions on the form were :v:
The source shows pictures of an empty form. Stuff like:
name
fighter name
country of origin
role
Almost like a roleplaying game character sheet
Other stuff is like:
Route by which you reached the area
person who vouched for you
Were they also multiple choice?
Yes, they've been taking tips from the DoD lately.

Who are the opposition? It must be really dangerous if Assad, Kurds, and IS put aside their differences to fight them

They probably just mean what remains of FSA and Al-Nusra. I don't think that IS, Assad and the Kurds gather for a weekly conference or work together in defeating space aliens.
