Does Valve care if I sell the password to my server to players? - General

Like if I ran a tf2 server and slapped a password on it, do they care if I charge players on a website a dollar to get in? And do they care if I host contests with cash prizes in the server?

Valve dont really care about what your doing with your server(s). Well if you have a virus on it stealing account, yeah valve will do something, but other than that it's ok.

Well I'm planning to have the server open 24/7, except for one 30 minute timeslot where it will be password protected, and users will enter the contest held in the 30 minute period for a dollar on a website, and the winner gets 15 bucks.

You only pay if you want to participate in a contest, and if you win, you get 15 times the amount you put in.

No but I doubt anyone would pay to get into a TF2 server when there's hundreds of other servers that you can get into for free.

i can barely be fucked waiting for servers to download crap for me, i would never pay to play on a probably empty server.

But no one will enter because its a stupid idea. Maybe make it $100 and people might be interested.
