(BOB TYMCZYSZYN/QMI Agency) MILTON,Ont. – A Brampton, Ont., man is charged with leading police on a highway marathon. While police arrested the suspect driver and recovered the stolen rig and flatbed, the load of wood worth thousands of dollars it was hauling is still missing, according to the Beamsville, Ont., company that contracted the vehicle. Jason Meadus, 40, faces nine criminal charges, including driving while disqualified, possessing stolen property, dangerous driving, mischief endangering life and failing to stop for police, and one Highway Traffic Act charge of driving while suspended. The suspect took police on a 450-km, 5 1/2-hour jaunt in the stolen tractor and flatbed Monday, starting in Niagara Region to Woodstock, Ont., to Toronto and then back to Niagara before once again turning towards Toronto but pulling over near Burlington, Ont. The rig was reported missing in Niagara around 4 a.m. but it wasn't spotted by police until around 8 a.m. Meadus remained calm during the brief appearance in Milton, Ont., court Tuesday morning and was ordered remanded into custody and to appear in court by video on Nov. 10. Wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black runners, his hands handcuffed in front, he nodded to the judge whenever spoken to, and smirked before being led away. His lawyer, Robert Christie, was not in attendance, and asked the case be put over until next week. The rig is owned by J-Line Transport Ltd. of Beamsville, Ont. "All that we had happen to us is a truck was stolen," company spokesperson Margaret Townsley said. "The rest was what the police did. “I figure they did a good job overall.” Meadus was arrested last December on three counts of possessing stolen property in relation to $1 million worth of stolen Sony products that vanished when two trailers were stolen from a yard in Brampton, Ont. Police said they recovered 1,600 pieces of gaming equipment and about 2,000 Sony games, worth about $500,000. The charges filed against Meadus in relation to the Sony games were withdrawn, an Ontario Court of Justice clerk said. Cops said Tuesday the stolen rig was first spotted around 8 a.m. on the QEW in Niagara Region. Police tried to stop it, but the rig continued and the officer decided to stop the pursuit because of safety concerns. But police, concerned about public safety, continued to follow the rig and kept other motorists away from the truck until the suspect pulled over and surrendered at gunpoint. [/release]

Only minimally compares to the stolen lumber truck, but that was more reckless on many levels.
OP's avatar looks like the criminal.
How did they find that stuff when there was no crate on the back?
How did they find that stuff when there was no crate on the back?
It sounds like the games and shit were from a previous arrest [release]Meadus was arrested last December on three counts of possessing stolen property in relation to $1 million worth of stolen Sony products that vanished when two trailers were stolen from a yard in Brampton, Ont.[/release] It isn't related to this story, I don't know why the OP bolded it
