• Youtube Network Dumped Me; please recommend networks

So my network decided not to warn me 30 days in advance that they wouldn't be renewing my contract like they should've. But basically I'm in quick need of some network recommendations, or any networks I should avoid. Basically networks can help protect me from getting my shit taken down and also promote my stuff and that'd be nice. My channel is just a weird amalgamation of shit I like to make or just video game footage, or YT streams. Lately made an educational but well edited video shitting on Randy Pitchford so it's not very PR safe nor PC. If you know of any networks that might accept something like this and pay me money to be an asshole and play video games let me know. If I can avoid signing up directly with Youtube so advertisers can decide not to pay me for anything ever that'd be great. Tanks
I've heard good things about curse could be worth checking out. https://support.unionforgamers.com/hc/en-us/articles/213207586-Partnership-F-A-Q-
I don't have any recommendations but I do wish you the best of luck in finding another one, hopefully very soon
I've hear good things about Curse.
You should go with whatever network Leafy is with. They seem to tolerate all the bullshittery that he involves himself them.
[del]I'm sure you saw it already on Tumblr, but GeePM reblogged the vid while recommending Screenwave.[/del] EDIT: NVM just saw it on your blog.

May I ask who the network that dumped you is?
Sounds like it's time for small claims court. Probably not worth lawyering up if you can keep it in small claims, but if your contract is pretty explicit, it's cheap, easy, and generally simple to contest.
May I ask who the network that dumped you is?
i think i mentioned real quick it was studio71 formerly collective and node before being bought out. when they were collective they were the people who promoted annoying orange. nowadays they retweet the rock and promote a lot of vloggers and shit like that. you could try machinima if you feel like doing the equevlant of taking a rusty screw, putting it under your toe, and then kicking a brick wall as hard as you possibly can, and then repeating it 9 more times per toe
Can somebody fill me in: What's the point of partnering? Do you need it to get ad revenue from videos? I thought you could get that from AdSense.
Youtube partneting is fucking stopid just set up a chantel on youtube or something

[editline]7th October 2016[/editline]
Can somebody fill me in: What's the point of partnering? Do you need it to get ad revenue from videos? I thought you could get that from AdSense.
you get paid better than adsense and also if you partner up with youtube directly they can dictate what gets ads and what doesn't or say an advertiser didn't like what i posted so they can take my video down. being partnered gives you some extra protection against abusive copyright claimers as well, if you have the right network. many networks also promote your videos outside of your normal viewership in some ways. in my experience, studio71 never removed a video for a copyright claim and just allowed the copyright claimer to put their own ads on my videos instead of... whatever studio71 was putting up. also they paid me a consistent amount of money per view, instead of adsense which i hear pays you based on minutes watched except for viewers with adblock. when i was with collective/node (before becoming studio71) the math always panned out compared to what i was getting paid; adblock did not seem to affect how much i was getting paid. that seems to be something networks can dictate. so that may be a benefit.
i'd also recommend curse (i'd link a ref link for the sweet sweet revenue share but im not a scum man), their revenue split is really quite fair (90%), their music library access is pretty cool, i mean i've used it once or twice here and there, and the support staff and very fast to respond and i've had a number of useful email exchanges with them
Can somebody fill me in: What's the point of partnering? Do you need it to get ad revenue from videos? I thought you could get that from AdSense.
the main benefit for a network imo is the protection it offers, if i ever run in to copyright trouble or get some kind of infraction on my account i have a real, actual human being to talk to rather than just google's nearly non-existent support team. i also get my revenue sent to my paypal rather than via direct bank transfer, i don't mind direct bank transfer since im used to receiving payments to my bank and don't really need paypal since i just use my card everywhere, however services that send money to your bank account will only do so if you reach $100/£60 in revenue owed before cashing out to avoid fees, this is the system that google adsense default monetization uses. with a network paying to your paypal they'll pay you once per calendar month no matter how much it is, from $0.01 to $100,000. tbh this is the main reason i signed up for partnership with curse since my paychecks started being less and less and i got to the point where i was only cashing out once every 4 months, so it's nice to get small chunks of money in my paypal constantly so i can waste it on hearthstone packs, it's very much worth the 10% loss imo

If they don't respond, you get a default judgement, even if it's for unreasonable amounts. Very cheap way to cause them a lot of headaches if you can file locally. It's worth going over your contract with a fine toothed comb, getting all of your financial paperwork in order, and consulting with a lawyer for a few minutes. Worst case, you are out some time.

is there any way to partner with YouTube directly? i did it like fucking forever ago and while I don't do much with it i'm not tied to anyone particular.

[editline]7th October 2016[/editline] honestly, i'm a very very small channel and I haven't exactly researched this topic enough to make significant recommendations on specifics, if you have any doubts i'd recommend emailing them
