I thought I'd make a compliment to the other thread. For me, there's been many, but just out of recent memory: It had a pseudo-psychological plot, and was not as intelligent or clever as it tried to be. The acting was okay I guess, but nothing outstanding, especially for Matt Damon. It was really disappointing for me.
Shawshank Redemption.
Shawshank Redemption.
That movie was incredible. Watch it again in a better mood.
Juno.
Resident Evil 1
Juno.
this and the hangover, it was OK but not that good [editline]21st April 2011[/editline]
Resident Evil 1
did anyone like the resident evil films though compared to the rest RE1 is amazing
Nearly everyone I've talked to says the first film is good Everyone generally agrees that the rest are shit
Eagle Eye, The Matrix, Up, I Am Legend.
Inception and oldboy.
Avatar. I've sat through it twice and was equally as bored by it both times.
Star Wars: A New Hope. I grew up with Star Wars, I loved it as a kid but after watching A New Hope again I really don't like that film, I love the other 5 though.
Star Wars: A New Hope. I grew up with Star Wars, I loved it as a kid but after watching A New Hope again I really don't like that film, I love the other 5 though.
It was the worst of the first 3, but you can't not love it. It's against the rules.
I didn't like Star Wars 4-6, but loved 1-3.
I didn't like Star Wars 4-6, but loved 1-3.
that's just wrong
It was the worst of the first 3, but you can't not love it. It's against the rules.
Return of the Jedi was the worst of the first 3. Fucking Ewoks.
The Hangover
I am probably going to get hate for this, but I didn't see what was so special about Pulp Fiction.
I didn't like Star Wars 4-6, but loved 1-3.
what the fuck is wrong with you do you like anything good anything spoiler: [sp]no[/sp]
Clockwork Orange. Just didn't appeal to me in the slightest.
I am probably going to get hate for this, but I didn't see what was so special about Pulp Fiction.
I kind of agree, out of Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill 1 & 2, Jackie Brown and Pulp Fiction, I'd say Pulp Fiction was my least favourite. Still haven't seen Inglourious Basterds
I hate threads like this, it's just an excuse for a bunch of angsty teens to try and look cool by bitching about what everyone else likes.
Clockwork Orange. Just didn't appeal to me in the slightest.
At the risk of sounding condescending and snobby, you may not have understood it.
ITT: People hating on movies you love
everyone raves about Black Hawk Down as an anti-war movie but it's not really anti-war at all. It still fetishizes the conflict to the point where it misrepresents the ending to make it seem like we won, only to provide the true ending in a few cards of text at the end, totally disassociated from the narrative.
At the risk of sounding condescending and snobby, you may not have understood it.
It's one of Kubrick's weakest films, but there are a lot of moments where everything just comes together and it's a glorious masterpiece. Sometimes it just feels a bit incoherent and hard to follow though. also ever since your financial advice thread I doubt anyone would think you were capable of being condescending [editline]22nd April 2011[/editline]
I hate threads like this, it's just an excuse for a bunch of angsty teens to try and look cool by bitching about what everyone else likes.
no, that's the entirety of facepunch, how have you been here for 2 years and not figured that out
The Hangover, just way overrated
Fucking Twilight.
Fucking Twilight.
I don't think goth girls count as everyone else.
that's just wrong
i think hes just trolling.
The Social Network, I didn't like the movie nor hated, it was a decent movie I guess, but that could be due to all the hype the media made when the movie came out that made me have higher standards.
