My memory's pretty vague but I think back then as long as you typed fine you were usually cool. The rules were pretty harsh, didn't you used to get permabanned for typing "lol" etc?
Those were the semi-good 'ol days. The real good days were 05, 06, and a bit of early 07. I lurked in late 06.
06 was a golden age.
