Windows only: uTorrent is far and away the most popular BitTorrent client among Windows users, and they've recently pushed out a shiny new 2.0 release, bringing with it bug fixes, performance improvements, UDP support, automatic bandwidth regulation, and more.
We explained the UDP update when uTorrent 2.0 beta came out way back in August of last year, but in a nutshell it means better performance for torrent trackers and ultimately for you, the user.
We also discussed the new transfer cap when the release candidate hit the streets, but again, simply put, it allows you to set bandwidth transfer caps to limit how much your client uploads or downloads over time to help avoid going over ISP caps.
I love it when people consider people that have low caps on their internet plans.
I can finally download my Linux binaries even better than before.
I hope it doesn't throttle anymore
I use µTorrent, but usually have no idea what technical things like all of this mean.
As far as I know most of the options let me decide how many kippers should be sent to Turkmenistan on my behalf.
They thought of the poor Aussies with Internet caps :australia:
The new icons are pretty.

With your internet speeds, you shouldn't even be using it
Finally! Bandwidth control for my Linux distros!

Aussies should use TPG, it's somewhat 3 times the internet cap of Bigpond, for half the price.
I get around 500KB/s, mainly because I live 3miles from the closest internet exchange
Awesome. And just in time for all the new seasons of linux distros that are coming out!

I don't suppose it'd be as awesome for ADSL1, would it? I can't get ADSL2 here

Oh, their plans are pretty standard for ADSL1; but wait a few years and you might be ADSL2+ enabled... when rudd gets off his ass.
Perfect for the abandonware I was about to download!

Yeah.
Plus I need to re-download all my Lost distro discs. I wonder where they went?
My ISP says I do not have an internet cap, but I know there is one, kicks in after a couple of gigs and my connection gets throttled to about 10kpbs which is awful.

I lost interest after Version 4.0
I'll probably catch up on it later.

Glad the ISP's in Norway don't do this.
I have a 40GB caps. But after I after I reach the speed doesn't change. :smug:

Yep! Downloading "linux binaries" has just gotten much nicer!
Brb downloading "undisclosed linux distros" to test this shit out.
Cool! I'll try it out dl'ing a Linux Mint 8 ISO :q:
Cool, I'll look into it so that I too can download insert legal program to download here.

Awesome.
I just tried installing it and it looks like it's forcing me to install Ask.com toolbar. It asks once, then just below says "I agree to the Terms, etc. and agree to install the toolbar."
If I don't have that option clicked, it closes.
Time to download some free and legal e-books!

It doesn't, I didn't check that box and it installed properly for me.

How the fuck did you manage that, I got nothing like that in the installer
I was also looking for the Ask.com toolbar, but I didn't see it where it normally would.
I hope I didn't install it
