Possible link?: Newtown shooter was "obsessed" with DDR
Adam Lanza was obsessed with video games, drove repeatedly to a theater to play Dance Dance Revolution for four to ten hours, and had a strained relationship with both parents, to the point where they communicated with him only by e-mail.
These are among the findings in a report into Lanza and his life following his attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School last year. The report has revealed a detailed look into the life of the shooter. The full report can be found here. All information is directly copied from the report.

Several videos of him playing DDR were found on digital media taken from the home. The GPS found in the home and reportedly belonging to the shooter indicated that he regularly went to the area of a theater that had a commercial version of the DDR game in the lobby. In 2011 and up until a month before December 14, 2012, the shooter went to the theater and played the game. He went most every Friday through Sunday and played the game for four to ten hours.
Source was also kind enough to include a list of video games he potentially used to carry out simulations of the school shooting.

"and had a strained relationship with both parents, to the point where they communicated with him only by e-mail."
And they think it was the video games

Why is this listed twice?
Why is this listed twice?
Because Vice City is one of multiple GTA games?
Dynasty Warriors
what
Also, this guy was an adult so I'm not sure how anyone can spin this into a video game debate. Unless the argument has been extended past "protect the children" to "protect everyone even adults."
so is it bad if I used to go into the first level of half life and shoot at all the scientists for fun
[sp]sorry nsa i swear im okay[/sp]
Because Vice City is one of multiple GTA games?
Then why is "Grand Theft auto" listed separately?

Because, if they are not mistaken in naming the games, there's a possibility that he played the 1997 GTA and GTA: Vice City
Edit: Just saying, might be wrong idunno

I completely forgot about the first game. I'm sure it's possible that he owned both.
I use Dynasty Warriors to practice murder all the time.

Did he wear a hat during the shooting?

Enough to constantly punch holes through your drywall and smash your monitor? That guy needs anger management help.
I swear these 'experts' are fuckin retarded. Find me a teenage boy that DOESN'T play video games.
Great, he played all those games.
Like that had a effect.
Yo I bet he got possessed by Satan after playing Shin Megami Tensei

Gotta admit, he had a decent taste in video games.

Nope. Totally not those factors. Definitely videogames.
So, let's examine the facts. He played lots of video games. Video games present a convenient and widely available escape from reality. An escape which he clearly needed in excess... his reality was one that he wasn't happy with. Likely exacerbated by the poor relationship with his parents. At some point the escape was not enough, and he became mentally ill enough to shoot innocent people.
Clearly, the video games are to blame!
