Surprisingly, it's pretty accurate. They also quote Chomsky on numerous occasions.

So it's North Korean Propaganda about Western Propaganda?
[editline]3rd June 2012[/editline]
Sure a good deal of what they say is true in this video, but their government is far, far worse than that of any western nation.
They make really good points, like how our nation is a giant shopping mall and we only care about material things.

But who causes more violence and deaths in the world? Best Korea or the evil Western war machine?
Matter of fact is: the way North Korea operates so different compared to ours that they are much better at observing the way our system operates.
We don't see the things that they document in this video, because we're used to the way we live.
So, I gotta have to agree with this video - so far most things discussed in the first video seems to be true.
Ok I just finished part 3. This video is really interesting so if you wanna be a better person, watch it.
Holy fuck NK gets it!
But who causes more violence and deaths in the world? Best Korea or the evil Western war machine?
Well, Western nations makes people suffer because of wars. North Korea makes their own people suffer because "fuck them".
Couldn't help but laughing at the introduction. But from what I see it's just North Korea being a hypocrite, some complete gibberish and some generic conspiracy theory bullshit.
It points out things that most of us here already know. Personally I don't care if it's true or not. I still get to eat, watch whatever, be whatever, and not live in fear of being arrested and taken away for what I think.
If I didn't know this was made by North Korea, I would have probably believed some of it. A lot of it actually seemed pretty correct, the only thing that gave it away was the fact that North Korea's media seems to be stuck with 1980's style video editing.
Wait, what the hell? For some reason I thought this was the videos section.

it's okay it works here
The first 5 Minutes are so ironic it hurts.
This is true, but also VERY hypocritical.
man, i hate the west... i wish i was living in North Korea :(
The difference between the US and North Korea is that instead of oppressing our own citizens, we oppress the citizens of other countries.
"Support our troops. It doesn't mean anything" I lost it at that.
As soon as it said 'like the unwinnable war on terror announced by these degenerates' about Bush and Blair, I lost it.
In the 2nd video they say the pope is the richest man in the world... What?
Was this film made by the korean Michael Moore?
This is great and makes some good points.
I love those Chomsky quotes.
The irony of the first 5 minutes was just too much for me.
anyone can make judgements of other countries, it's piss easy, but for leaders to start admitting their own faults. thats what i want to see.
In the 2nd video they say the pope is the richest man in the world... What?
If you value all the land the church owns and the stuff in its posession and see the pope as the owner of the church, he technically is.
there are lots of points in this video that are true we are indeed too dependant on technology like our computers, tvs, video games and just so much more

I'd say it's quite the opposite. They don't understand how our system operates, they're used to their own totalitarian system, and consequently they try to make it look like we use a similar system to be able to comprehend it.

If you ignore the "there's an evil elite mastermind behind it all" tone it still makes a few really good points.
I somehow doubt it got aired in North Korea. No way they would show things like those protests and talking about "masters" etc.

It IS propaganda for US rather than them.
That's why we have to watch it carefully and strip it off it's purpose and keep the important points.
And see how our own way of living, even the things we condemn ourselves, extremism, war, poverty, are part of the system we live in and simply hold up by being, can be used against us just as we use their way against them.
And if we can see clear how THEY are instrumentalizing ideas and facts, we can reflect about us.
And maybe we all are a bit more careful when watching the news or history books next time.

Agreed - that's the one thing I disagreed with was the portrayal of this 'system' as the work of one evil entity who secretly runs the world from behind the scenes. It smacks of the Illuminati conspiracy.
