A man’s obsession with the game “Candy Crush” sent him to the emergency room.
He ruptured a tendon in his thumb and needed surgery to fix it.
The man told doctors he had been playing the game on his smartphone nonstop for six to eight weeks.
Someone needs to go to a psychiatrist.
Are they sure he wasn't doing anything else with that hand?
Playing Game of War also.

Cracked a few ribs? Just play Candy Crush.

Ruptured a tendon? Just play Candy Crush.

Got your leg blown off by an IED? Just play Candy Crush.

Candy Crush is Bejeweled. HuniePop is Bejeweled.
HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Crushed by a shipping container of candy at work? Just play Candy Crush.
Did you know: before King fled to mobile games a little while after Steve Jobs effectively declared that Flash was dead, they used to not suck when they were still doing Flash games?
Candy crush is one of the most cancerous games around. Not only is it a completely shameless rip off, if is riddled with micro transactions.

I thought HunniePop was candy crushed between woman's bosoms.
We can all still love Puzzles and Dragons, though!

Examples of games they made? Candy Crush just automatically made me assume that they only made one and that's why they were Milking it for all it was fucking worth

Worst part is, in Asia, all the middle aged women and men are fucking playing it on their smartphones.
You get up at 8am, go into the packed train, and THE FUCKING SOUNDS rings throughout the train carriage. 'Sweet!' 'Tasty!' 'Delicious!'
God fucking dammit

I also regret teaching my mum how to play it, she even spend $20 on fucking ingame credits
And kept asking me for my facebook account to be linked so that she can play

Holy hell, this guy must've been playing for hours without break. I can't even hold my phone for more than 15 minutes while playing a game.

A million other bejeweled clones. That's what else.

No, these companies usually make hundreds of games before becoming a smash success. I think Angry Birds was Rovio's 170th game or something crazy like that.

I was actually just looking into this the other day. I do hate microtransactions and despise King, but does this article carry any merit? It tries to explain that while the market is cluttered with them, those who are more familiar with the match-3 style look at all the different match-3 games as different variations of the same basic game that do play a little differently (and apparently makes a difference to match-3 type game fans).

Look on the bright side, it's only a matter of time until Candy Crush passes from people's attention, much like FarmVille, and we all get to watch King decline and decline into irrelevancy, as did Zynga. Really, they're peddling to the exact same audience, who has proven once before they'll only hold onto one of these game for 3-5 years max before going to the next big casual game. And if King doesn't make any attempt to set up for the future after Candy Crush, they'll plummet just as hard. Zynga was once valued at $14.50 a share--today, they're at $2.46
Candy Crush isn't even just a bejewles rip off. There is literally a candy themed game of the exact same type, albeit with a less creative design. The guy who made it dedicated it to his mother who had died of cancer and loved candy.
Then these fucks come along, steal the entire premise, make millions, and have the nerve to try and copywrite the word 'saga'
