I still like the Simpsons, it may not be as good as it used to be 10 years ago but it's still enjoyable.
I thought the series went downhill way before the movie, which was why I enjoyed it a lot.
Early to mid 2000s is what I classify the downfall. Still good sometimes, way better than Family Guy.
I haven't watched a simpsons episode since they changed the opening sequence with the HDTV.
I haven't watched a simpsons episode since they changed the opening sequence with the HDTV.
I said that in the OP I fucking hate to
For me it went in 3 stages: Stage 1: I love this show, it makes me laugh and has insightful social and political commentary. stage 2: well...its not that funny anymore but its still fun to watch and entertaining. stage 3: shite that was boring, im losing interest.
I have like the first 7 seasons on DVD so I mostly watch those when I want to see Simpsons.
I liked up to and including the movie (though it was very childish). Now it is bad.
Bits and pieces of newer episodes are gold. But everything before 10 years ago is gold.
I kinda realized the formula to the Simpons episode plot after the movie: 1)Make something happen to one of the family members of the Simpson family. 2)The event or item creates a new plot which becomes the main storyline totally unrealted to the event or item. 3)Simpsons try to solve problem and ends well. The End. Still funny though.
Maybe its not as funny as it was before, but I still like it.
Its like family guy now. Its funny in some episodes. And not funny in others.
I wish Futurama was shown here.
I liked the Simpsons movie thank you very much. :colbert: It wasn't as good as the regular show, but it was pretty good. Also, I haven't seen the Simpsons in a long time, so I wouldn't know if it sucks now.
The show really got bad around early 2001. IMO, I think it's actually gotten a little better in the years since the movie.
Season Ten and onwards is just garbage.
I never thought it went downhill. I've never seen one episode in which there hasn't been at least a couple of really funny gags. And on the other score, I thought the movie was positively comedic.
You don't have an option for "It always sucked."
i loved the movie. i thought it was hilarious
I never liked The Simpsons, it never made me laugh and wasn't too interesting.
I liked and still like the Simpsons, although the new seasons are running a little dry of ideas. I mean, come on. Mapple? Mypod? I think they play it a little TOO safe when it comes to copyright.
ive always liked the simpsons its not the best show but i still find it entertaining
(I also hate the fact they remade the opening into that HD one and they have a bigger TV/added stuff and etc)
You just say this because you don't have anything to watch stuff in HD on. :colbert:

It's been on for over 20 years, and it's still pretty funny. I'd like to see 1/2 of you write a show for 20 years and keep it funny.
It started to suck before the movie 1-2 seasons before hand I think, but from what I've see (Australia) it's getting bit better.
After the 90's it got to the point where I couldn't watch it. I enjoyed the movie, but as far as the Seasons it just got stale.
I still like them, not as funny anymore but still highly entertaining.
