Over the years, the true meaning of Christmas has seemingly drifted further and further away from most people. There's also an apparent lack of nice people, especially on Facepunch. I'm not going to go off into a long rant; I'm just going to keep it simple and short so I don't need a TL;DR. Christmas is about giving, not receiving. It's a time for brotherly love and good cheer. It's a time for turning off your computer and spending time with friends and family. It's a time to be a little nicer than usual. It's a time to stop being enemies for a while and be friendly. It's a time to put your worries aside and [I]live.[/I] I hope at least one of you guys considers what I've said. Either way, Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Let's hope it's a good one. :smile:

If I wanted to have a real Christmas celebration, I'd do it with my family, because I don't think you can make everyone care that much at the moment.

I am a teenage atheist and I understand what it is supposed to mean, despite the fact that it doesn't.

It all began because some smart people noticed that the days began to get longer again. So for some reason they celebrated it and had parties and gave each other gifts, the Romans enjoyed doing this. Christmas has little to do with Christianity at all.

Christmas is about me wasting around $2,000 on people who couldn't give two shits about me.

As I grew up, it seemed as if the individualist tendencies of society ruined Christmas. That, and maybe the fact that our whole family does the party at my aunt's place, who has (sadly) been a widow for a few years now...
