A Met Office amber alert for high winds in southern Wales, southern England, much of the Midlands, the East, and London and the South East is in place. There is concern about possible heavy rain, falling trees, building damage and gusts of up to 80 mph (120 kph), or possibly higher on exposed coasts.
I live right in the dangerzone. Nice knowing you, FP.
How cute. I live in Florida, the weather changes so fast 5 minutes it's clear the next 5 it's a freaking hurricane.
How cute. I live in Florida, the weather changes so fast 5 minutes it's clear the next 5 it's a freaking hurricane.
Florida hasn't had a hurricane since 2005.
Florida hasn't had a hurricane since 2005.
Shh don't jynx it.
I doubt its that bad, Its England after all. In any case I should be safe from flooding, living up on a hill.
I'm in South West London, am I screwed much? But yeah if you must, better print out some porn from hot girls thread to get by the worst of it...
Does anyone know the time it will hit? I am currently in Bath and will be heading up to Liverpool at 10am. Also, there are actually two weather fronts moving in. The second should be over the UK around Wednesday effecting Scotland more so than anywhere else.
I'm in the red zone. This is gonna be interesting.
Florida hasn't had a hurricane since 2005.
Long over due.
Hurricane force* There's a big difference.
Well, being a lad near London, I am also in the danger zone. Let's hope the storm doesn't knock out my net; just in case I should get the song by Kenny Loggins onto my machine so I can listen to it as the storm-winds blow.
Obligatory. I reccommend loading a media player with this and listening to it at the first gust of wind.

Yeah no, its not a hurricane. Its powerful wind. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful though.
The ONE rare night I decide to hit town and this shit is about to happen. Wonder how bad It'll hit Wiltshire.
Pepper;42654004']I'm in the red zone. This is gonna be interesting.
half of the (i.e majority of the population) country is in the red zone.
Yeah no, its not a hurricane. Its powerful wind. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful though.
I guess you could say this has been blown way out of proportion.
Nothing will beat the sheer pants soaking experience of Hurricane Bawbag
There's a high chance of it coming to where I live apparently, and according to my Mum the last time this happened in the 80's it was fucking pandemonium. If I don't post after Monday you can presume the hurricane came and took me to a better place.
I laughed when I seen the thread title but I lost it when I seen the post icon. Hope you don't die, dude.
I guess you could say this has been blown way out of proportion.
wow WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
Now you will experience how florida feels  But in all honesty, if you are prepared, then you should be fine. I have had to live through 5 of these or so.
I live in Plymouth, goodbye FP :v:

Hope you don't die, dude.
If worst comes to worst, I will climb atop a door and windsurf it to China, where I will be revered as a god for being tall, blonde, and blue-eyed. If China starts hailing the Almighty David by next wednesday, then presume my street was annihilated.
The ONE rare night I decide to hit town and this shit is about to happen. Wonder how bad It'll hit Wiltshire.
Cattle...Cattle everywhere...

Nice knowing you, FP.
That reminds me, Here in south california, during the santa ana winds we get, We get 120mph gusts of winds. one time it tore down a tree, and the other, it took down a power substation where i live. It's really awesome to see this type of thing.
Oh please don't cry, I live in a city where this is natural thing. Yes, people have rocks on their houses, but nothing terrible happened. Just stay home, if you don't want to be in a windy condition. Fastest recorded hurricane in my city was 171 KM/h (106.254474 mph) It's really pissing me off when I see people cry about 80 mph hurricane incoming to their land. And even that happens rarely. Try to live in my city, here's a true hurricane. Btw, the city is called AjdovÅ¡čina. Google it, if you don't believe me.
