Now let me begin by saying I'm 17, and that in no way shape or form do I have a child. This is just something I thought would be interesting to Facepunch. The more I've thought about this, the more it scares me. Being a parent. Now, at 17 that would scare most teenagers, but I'm trying to figure out how teenagers who get pregnant, think and act after they've found out. I knew a girl in my Marine Science class who had a baby at the age of 13 or 14. Her parents are now supporting her child, herself, and her brother. I went to Palm Bay High School, for a few months, and found out they have a legit daycare for the students who have classes during the day, with certified nurses taking care of them. Now I've grown up as an only child, with a single parent. My dad left before I was born, but I am thankful for the parent I still have left. She has done her best to raise me well. Working three jobs at once just to support her and I. But I wonder how teenagers do it. Those few who weren't so lucky and are either dropping out of high school, or going to high school pregnant, still trying to get their education. How hard is it, raising a child, going to school, and working, so there's a shot your life will get back in track?
There aren't a few at my school. It seems like every day somebody finds out they're pregnant.
No
Abortions ftw. ... Boohoo I'm going to disagree because I won't admit that abortions literally saves lives before another is even self concious.

i see does it represent anything????
I've always wanted a child, only to train it as my ninja :ninja:
I'd love to be a parent someday. I think I'd make a good father. :)

I'm definitely going to have children when I get older, probably at around the same age as my parents did when they had me, my brother, and my sister. So, in other words, around 29-32.
There is a girl where I work who got pregnant her senior year, and her husband (boyfriend who knocked her up) works at the same place, and she is working on getting a bachelors to support the baby better. They are really nice people and I only have good things to say about them.
Abortions ftw.
That is why Hangers are still in production. edit Fuuuuck. Sniper ninja'd.
The year above me has people getting pregnant every few days / weeks. That's 6th year (I think the English call it 6th form) Pretty funny stuff. Should have used a condom :eng101:
Absolutely. I want a son. Or, a daughter. Someone who can say shitty things about other people that I dislike, but, not get in trouble for it. "Listen, Tod, go over there and tell that man to go fuck himself, okay?" "Bababoobo" "No, GO FUCK YOURSELF. Say it, okay" "G-go" "Good." "Fua-" "Fuck, it's fuck" "Fuck" "Yeah, great! Now say GO FUCK" "Goa fuck." "Yourself" "Yosef" "My boy's first words. Now, go over there and tell off that fuckface, okay?" Ohhhh, the memories.
I'd love to be a parent someday. I think I'd make a good father. :)
I don't think I'd make a good parent, because my dad was never there to teach me things. I still celebrate fathers day, by giving presents to my mom, because she took place of my dad.
Not that this is coming from personal experience, but suddenly being endowed with the responsibility of handling the life of another helpless human being seems like it'd change shit irreversibly. There aren't (usually) any two ways around it either. People are always happy to help though, so I'm guessing that's how 17 year old pull through. I can't say I wouldn't watch my little sisters tike for a couple hours a day to help her out, if not for the welfare of the baby who deserves some form of care.
I came into this thread thinking this was the new film in the Adulthood/Kildulthood series.
I want to be a parent someday, always have. But 17 is far too early, my year 11 year Photo has at least 4 pregnant girls in it. Chavs one and all. 2 of them went through with it to get time off school for gods sake :argh:

it's irresponsible to have children before you are independently financially stable
I will have kids, but at the earliest when I am 25. Earliest, and if I happen to get a girl pregnant, we'll talk. I haven't really seen much teenage pregnancy about in the past few years, there was this whole hubbub about it, then I never seemed to hear of it again.
My mum had me when she was 19. Suffice it to say, I've learned my lesson.
I have to look after my 11 year old brother and my 5 year old sister a lot. I deal with them quite well, I think. They argue and shizzle and I sort it out.
I'm 18 and gave both my kids for adoption
I'd wait until I'm at least 25 to have kids. My mother has raised me by herself, and I certainly know I'm not patient enough to handle being a mother for awhile. Until then, any potential pregnancies will be handled with abortions.

I can't have children I'm gay.
