Most kids played goldeneye, me and my friends played Forsaken 64
v-- this post is only dumb if you're some casual who has never played Forsaken 64
Why is there suddenly like 4 different new Descent-like games coming out?

Ditto, class game Forsaken "golden powerpod" :P
Maybe more people will try a game like this now as it's free, as long as they can be driven away from the COD clone borg

Honestly it doesn't look that good. Both Sol Contingency and Overload look better.
Sol Contingency is a bunch of guys that were making Descent in UE4, but after the Descent Underground thing they weren't allowed to use anything Descent anymore. Sol Contingency has turned into its own thing and is a bit faster paced than Descent.
Overload meanwhile is made by the guys who originally made the first Descent. They have a "playable teaser" on Steam that you can download for free and it's already pretty great and captures the original's feeling and style really well.
