The gossip website, citing unnamed law enforcement sources, says that Bieber's white Ferrari was pulled over for a "routine traffic stop" near the Getty Center. A photographer who was following it attempted to snap some pics of the scene when officers told him to step back because the situation was unsafe. That's when the photog was hit by an oncoming vehicle, they say. TMZ notes that the Canadian teen sensation was not driving the Ferrari when this took place, or in it at all. They say a friend of his was driving the car, and another friend was riding shotgun. The name and age of the deceased photographer was not released. Bieber has been seen around town in a white 458 Italia (but not the one pictured above) as well as a chrome Fisker Karma. Update: CBS Los Angeles has a few more details about the fatal crash this morning. They say the photographer was a 29-year-old from New Mexico whom a friend called "Chris." His full name has not been released by authorities. The TV station reported that the photographer parked his SUV on Sepulveda Boulevard and ran across the street to get a better view of the traffic stop as it was parked on the freeway. Officers repeatedly asked him to move away, and when he eventually turned away to return to his vehicle, he was struck by an oncoming SUV. Paramedics attempted to revive him at the scene but he later died at an area hospital. Bieber's camp issued this statement: "While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim. Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation."
source: http://jalopnik.com/5972408/photographer-reportedly-dies-while-chasing-justin-biebers-ferrari
I came here expecting a news story involving a photographer trying to shoot and kill Justin Beiber while he was driving his ferrari :v: This must be very unfortunate for the family, though.
I expected to read about how Justin Beiber ran over a photographer
Never understood why these people risk their lives for stupid photos of celebrities.
Never understood why these people risk their lives for stupid photos of celebrities.
Because good pics net you enough money to buy said Ferrari.
Never understood why these people risk their lives for stupid photos of celebrities.
Because they get paid a lot of money to do it. They get paid a lot of money to do it because little girls' parents buy a lot of Justin Bieber concert tickets and albums as well as other miscellaneous merchandise.
"While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim. Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation."
meaningful legislation about what? "hey maybe don't step out in the road"?
Ferraris sure are ugly lately Alright, whatever guys. I'm just more of a Porsche kind of guy
I didn't know Justin Bieber was old enough to drive
Never imagined a Ferrari would look good in white.
meaningful legislation about what? "hey maybe don't step out in the road"?
It's just a standard reply to make you seem like a good person.
Well it seems silly to me. To be a "good" person wouldn't you say something original and compassionate instead? Legislation won't help anything to do with this.
Ferraris sure are ugly lately
They're sleeker and less utilitarian.
Never imagined a Ferrari would look good in white.
still not as fast as a red Ferrari
Wish I was a teen pop sensation that could drop $200k+ for a car.
Ferraris sure are ugly lately
The 458 is a beautiful car. I'll agree however that it was the first in a long while.
I didn't know Justin Bieber was old enough to drive
I'm honestly flabbergasted he hasn't planted any of his cars into a wall yet.
still not as fast as a red Ferrari
Red paint gives 80hp
Red paint gives 80hp
80 mph*
condolences to the guy's family, but seriously i don't think anything of value was lost with his passing
I didn't know Justin Bieber was old enough to drive
He wasn't driving this lol
80 mph*
Damn it. Wrong rating. He meant 80 horse power. Unlucky photographer. Bieber was no where near the car.
I'm honestly flabbergasted he hasn't planted any of his cars into a wall yet.
He's scraped a restored Ford Mustang on a legally parked journalists car.
condolences to the guy's family, but seriously i don't think anything of value was lost with his passing
I think the family you're trying to give your condolences to lost a family member. Dick. Also I didn't know Justin Bieber was Canadian. I am happy that I have less in common with him.
