• Lock Her Up?- Top Trump Aide Says Charges Against Clinton Will Not Be Persued
President-elect Donald Trump has decided that his administration will not pursue criminal investigations related to former rival Hillary Clinton’s private email server or her family foundation, his campaign manager said Tuesday. Trump’s apparent decison, conveyed by campaign manager Kellyanne Conway in an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,’’ would be an extraordinary break with political and legal protocol, which holds that the attorney general and FBI makes decisions on whether to conduct investigations and file charges, free of pressure from the president. During his campaign, Trump had issued incendiary calls for a special prosecutor to reopen the FBI’s closed investigation of Clinton’s use of a private server while secretary of state and had also urged investigations of allegations of corruption at the Clinton Foundation. He nicknamed the Democratic nominee “Crooked Hillary” and encouraged chants of “Lock her up!” at his rallies. But Conway said Trump now sees things differently. “I think when the president-elect, who’s also the head of your party, tells you before he’s even inaugurated that he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content” to fellow Republicans, she said. “Look, I think he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the President of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them,” she added.
Washington Post
President-elect Donald Trump has decided that his administration will not pursue criminal investigations related to former rival Hillary Clinton’s private email server or her family foundation, his campaign manager said Tuesday.
At this rate he's going to run out of election promises before he's even in the white house.
It's not really up to Trump though. Many Clinton opponents believe that political pressure from Obama and AG Lynch was what led to her not being charged in the first place. If that indeed was the case Trump doesn't really need to do anything, we just need to see how the FBI/Justice Department's work unfolds with the Democrats having considerably less ability to pressure them. Trump would have to apply pressure behind the scenes specifically to ensure she isn't charged again.
Another thing people vote for because they want it and democratically elected politicians just say 'fuck you, we lied' Brexit anyone? At this rate representative democracy is showing cracks in its foundation.
The next thing is gonna be that wall turning into a shitty yard fence, welcome to politics.
The next thing is gonna be that wall turning into a shitty yard fence, welcome to politics.
Already happening, portion's of the wall will be fence,
If Trey Gowdy is made Attorney General, or remains on the several committees regarding the Clinton Foundation, I really don't think Trump's Administration will have to chase the Clintons. Seriously, so many people are out for their heads already, it'd would just be a waste of resources.
I just want to say that I think the way US elections are currently run should really be looked at as a form of cruel and unusual punishment for the average citizen. I think US citizens should have the right to a speedy election cycle so we don't loose our god damned heads and end up electing a complete incompetent fool. Also, maybe we should consider adding some criteria to who can run for President, like a minimum amount of time spent as a representative of people. I don't mean to derail or anything, my point is, we ended up with Trump, someone whom many saw through, and now he is doing exactly what we predicted: going back on almost all of his promises.

I get people dislike Clinton, but the obsessive guilty until proven innocent mentality with her is getting a bit old. She likely lost the presidency because of the witch hunt, and has been completely humiliated across the entire globe. After all of that, do we really need to imprison her for the rest of her life too?

Theres plenty of other laws she broke, or that her aids broke that she bears responsibility for in one way or another... like declassifying mails or mass deleting after a subpoena... The emails is not Benghazi, the emails is a real thing with actual crimes and actual corruption and pay to play being revealed... the FBI never said she did not commit those criminal acts, just that they deemed it not worthy to bring charges because 'there was no wrong intent' whatever that means.
The next thing is gonna be that wall turning into a shitty yard fence, welcome to politics.
I bet he's already got the panels sourced. Wait a minute... 18 inches, across 2,000 miles, times $4.47... ...Man, that's an expensive fuck-all fence.
If anything this just proves that all that "LOCK HER UP" rhetoric was just a means to win the election, Trump doesn't really care about what she did, it was just a political tool. I doubt he's even capable of understanding what she did or why it was bad to be quite frank.

In fact Clinton has called and offered to help Trump.
