• A Look At Life (British Newsreel shorts)

After meandering about Youtube clicking at aimless stuff, I finally found something interesting, some series of documentary shorts made in Britain during the 1960s called "A Look At Life" and they talk about daily British life during the 60s and what have you. It's really interesting to me since I'm so accustomed to watching old 50s training videos and other PSAs like that about life during that time in America, and now I see pretty much the same thing but from the 60s and I'm all like "woah, this is both familiar and unfamiliar". Also it's great if you're a sucker for old British cars and other infrastructure stuff. It's so surreal looking at old footage of Britain from the mid-20th century and seeing so many British cars. Apart from the odd Mini or Morris Minor (and the latter are becoming increasingly rare), there's basically nothing now. One of my favourite parts of old vehicles is the white-on-black number plates. I wish we still had those. Although they do use them in Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands:
