So I'm 19, turning 20 in november. Im about 184cm long, and I weight around 60 kilos. My friend says I should start working out with him and eat more healthy and my dad says I should NOT work out before I gained a few kilos in weight. My parents said today if I don't do anything soon I may become anorexic, which is is some I really want to avoid. I decided to eat instantly and made some food but when I finished cooking and sat down to eat, and I had a really hard time swallowing the food and almost threw up. I've been sitting here with the plate for about and hour and I can't finish those fucking noodles. When I swallowed the last piece of meat I instantly felt that it was comming up again and I ran to the toilet and threw it up, but it was ONLY the meat that I just swallowed so I dunno if it reached the stomach or not. I have no problem drinking milk or water or anything and I could eat just fine yesterday. Although, I've been living on fast food the last month, could it be that my that my body is not used to the healthy food? I get 2-3 periods per year when all food just tastes like shit and I can't eat very much because I feel like I'm stuffed after three or four bites, could this have a connection? I made a food-schedule. Breakfast, around 10-11 AM 2 boiled eggs, a glass of milk, swedish crackling bread. Snack, 12 PM A fruit or a vegetable, a glass of milk Dinner, 2 PM Boiled potatoes / rice / pasta, chicken, sallad, glass of milk Afternoon snack 4 PM A fruit or two, a glass of milk Another dinner or whatever you'll call it, depending on how hungry I am, 6 PM Chicken / meat, pasta, glass of milk, some sallad or vegetables.
probably all in your head, i haven't nor will i professionally diagnose you so take this with a grain of salt. just keep at it, nothing in life comes easy and besides, I really can't point to anyone on this planet that would say no to chocolate chip cookies. good luck.
Start working out even when you're skinny, eat a lot of rice, pasta and bread. You need to get all the carbs you can get if you want to put on weight. After you workout you'll be pretty hungry so that helps with eating.
Lifting, especially lifting heavy, makes you hungry. Definitely helps with eating.
So I should start working out when he gets back to town then? He has been working out for a while and know all this shit about protein shakes and all that stuff. We'll be going to the gym 3 days a week and go running in the forest 1 day. Is that good to begin with?
Yeah that sounds alright. I found that compound lifts helped a lot when I was really skinny if you want to take note of that.
Dad's wrong, your friend is right. I wouldn't really do too much cardio to be honest. at least not until you've gained some.
My parents said today if I don't do anything soon I may become anorexic, which is is some I really want to avoid.
Your parents are wrong, that's not what what anorexia is. Anorexia is a mental disorder where a person is afraid of gaining weight and has a distorted image of their body (They always perceive themselves as fat.) You clearly do not exhibit these symptoms; being a skinny person doesn't automatically mean you're mentally ill. Don't worry about that. As a fellow skinny shit, let me give you some advice. Eating a lot of calories is the most difficult part of getting in shape for me as well. Working out is the easy part, overriding your body's predilections to eating and calorie intake requires consistent effort and patience. First of all, carefully read the calorie labels on everything you see. Whenever given the choice, choose the option with the most calories. The denser the calories are, the more likely you are to gain weight. Record your calories as you go through the day. Phone apps exist to make this an easy process. My personal favorite app is http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ for iOS, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone. It can scan barcodes of products and automatically record the nutritional information for you. This is not a suggestion; it is absolutely crucial that you know exactly how much you are eating each day so that you can strategize appropriately and take information to the doctor if you need to. Try to drink your calories, it makes them go down easier. Look into making your own milkshakes. A cup of 2% milk, a serving of protein powder, a tablespoon of peanut butter, and a tablespoon of olive oil in a blender will get you ~600 calories. Actually, as a rule of thumb, a tablespoon of olive oil will get you 100 calories. Taking a quick swig of that stuff at every meal is disgusting but is an excellent way to get calories fast if you have trouble eating. Just try not to gag as you do it. Get a bag of trail mix or something. Take a handful every now and then and snack down on it. The more meals and snacks you have per day, the easier it is to keep the food down. Trying to force yourself to eat past being full is an exercise in futility. Your body will simply reject it. Also, believe me; it gets easier. Once your body adjusts to eating more it will gain a tolerance for big meals. Even if you can't eat your caloric goal for a day, at least try. Eat a little bit more and a little bit more every day and let your body adjust. Good luck!

I used to weight a solid 65-66 kilos like a half a year ago, then I started hanging out with two friends and we walked alot, like 3-4 kilometers per day because we were bored, and I also stopped drinking alot of coca cola, and I dropped to this weight. I also tried eating yesterday when I was watching a movie and it went good, probably the best chicken I've ever had. I walk/jog about that much daily and don't see anything.
did you actually lose weight that way? I walk/jog about that much daily and don't see anything.
That is simply because you eat too much, eat at a caloric deficit and you'll lose weight, if you eat like a pig, no running will make you lose weight.
A great way to get calories in as mentioned earlier is a shake. Heres a shake that I have, thats actually really good. its around 1400 calories. Two scoops of protein (300 calories) 1 cup of oats (this is two servings worth of oats, 400 calories) 2 tbsp of peanut butter, us organic its easier to blend (around 210 calories) Whole milk (usually 1.5-2 servers worth which gets you around 250 calories) 2 bananas, or a really really big one (200 calories) 5 strawberrys (100 calories) and some honey (80 calories) And blend like a mother fucker. 1440 calories right there. you welcome.

You're already lean, you're pure muscle, and no fat. Why the hell do people want you to gain weight worth of fat? How about muscle instead? I have this gut feeling that you at some point lost muscle and that makes you even skinnier, get into lifting right away. You still have to eat a lot only to get enough protein.

It won't be like LOL I JUST GOT FAT much but you will get noticably amounts of fat and muscle ofc. thats' why we bulk and cut

Why do we always make up thoughts to limit ourselves, such as considering it "godly" to be healthy? I am studying for nutritionist, and being lean while being on a small caloric deficit while reaching my protein and getting all the nutrients necessary and just enough for building muscle is what I do and strive for in my days. Not everyone is as passionate about their nutrition, so the easy way that works is bulking. You do not need a caloric surplus for building muscle.

It won't be like LOL I JUST GOT FAT much but you will get noticably amounts of fat and muscle ofc. thats' why we bulk and cut
i'm tired of this shit bulking and cutting as an excuse to gaining mass. bulking and cutting is just for some metabolisms and for people that want results faster and it's specific and it's also applies to the careless people that can't count calories and macros. you can get ripped at any pace. the main thing in working out is getting around enough calories to maintain body mass. make sure protein macro is adequate and spaced out. (the body doesn't store proteins you dumbtwat and he needs most of it by night so it's a good idea to have casein before bed either supps or from cheese) if you work out in the mornin, casein is still a good bet for the night. ANYWAY, you also have to make sure you ingest fast carbs RIGHT after your workout. (if you work out more than 1 hour you can also have a super fast sweet snack in your workout AND after) you can even try, like i do, 300 calories worth of cereal biscuits with cream (60%fast carbs and 40% oats n shit) which is 2 biscuits i eat in 15 seconds and a scoop of syntha6 which is 200cals and 22g of brotein. there, 500 good cals after a workout. then you don't need to over eat 40000000000000 calories a day but make sure you know your metabolism, so as an example i should be eating 3300 calories per day, but i'm averaging at around 2600 i guess since i don't feel i eat enough even if i eat more. 3300 would be a bulk and even if i'm gaining SUPER slow i still gained like 5kg since january. and my bodyfat dropped at least 1%. best gainz in torso size. so fuk all ur shit just do whatever feels good to the body and do it in slow increments. don't read every shit on forums and apply it just cuz it's written. why not go easy on it? (unless you take roids and a 4-5k cal diet would be adequate - also jaeger plz gtfo of making fun of this post plz k thx)
