A former US high school baseball star has died after being bitten 19 times by a deadly black widow spider. Jeff Seale, 40, noticed the bites on his left foot two weeks before he died last Sunday in Boulder County, TV station Fox31 Denver reports. Mr Seale became obsessed with the spiders after he was bitten, having his house sprayed and taking a photo of his foot which shows his toes turning yellow and purple. He told his parents he was feeling sick on Sunday morning, but brushed away their suggestion he see a doctor, saying "I'll be fine". Mr Seale's sister Stephanie Baum believes the spider bites killed her brother, saying he was in good health until he was bitten. "He worked at a horse stable in the evenings and he very well could of brought a black widow home in his things," she said. "I think the toughest part is knowing that that morning, Sunday morning he was in a lot of pain." The Boulder County Coroner said it could take up to six weeks to determine whether the spiders killed Mr Seale, who pitched for the University of Texas and was drafted by the Mets when he was younger.
Source: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8276432/man-dies-after-19-black-widow-spider-bites Black Widow Spiders grow as big as your palm, approximately.
Whenever I see a picture or video of spiders, I take my feet off the floor :(
his foot which shows his toes turning yellow and purple.
This would be a really good indication that you'd need a doctor.
Black Widow Spiders grow as big as your palm, approximately.
wtf, i've always thought they were kind of small! now they're even more terrifying :c
I reallly don't understand arachnophobia. Sure spiders can suck but if someone posts a picture I won't be all "OMG SNIP IT"
I reallly don't understand arachnophobia. Sure spiders can suck but if someone posts a picture I won't be all "OMG SNIP IT"
You don't understand it because you don't have it.

U DONT UNDERSTAND!!! [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline] Also theres a reason why they're classified as a disorder and not, you know, something entirely rational.
wtf, i've always thought they were kind of small! now they're even more terrifying :c
I honestly find big spiders to be less scary because they are easy to spot. The thing about spiders is unlike being bit by a rattlesnake or some other venomous snake you might not even know you were bitten.
Also hes stupid for not going to a doctor.

What a dolt.
I thought black widows killed you really fast?
I reallly don't understand arachnophobia. Sure spiders can suck but if someone posts a picture I won't be all "OMG SNIP IT"
Any time I see a picture of a spider on my screen (even when I'm expecting to see one) I instantly move back from my screen in reflex. I don't understand why either but it happens.
After seeing that picture I now keep seeing stuff from the corner of my eyes.
I thought black widows killed you really fast?
depends where you're bitten.
Please tell me this was Australia, I don't want any of that shit coming to the UK And fuck the OP's picture
spiders like this are pricks pricks i tell you
I have a phobia of motorcycles+sand You don't see me being scared by sand+motorcycles
What on earth are you talking about
19 times. how could it go unnoticed? hardly any spider is truly a threat to you if you are aware and.. i mean you can kill it. you got a big arsenal compared to the spiders venom teeth and the whole bite-19-times to take the man down and the drill [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline] if you wanna be hardcore, clench your first and squash the motherfucker.
nope-nope-nope-nope-nope
What on earth are you talking about
connection rpoblems
I thought black widows killed you really fast?
No, uhh, they're actually very rarely fatal. Extremely painful and shit. But rarely fatal. 19 bites though, no surprise there
I used to think black widows were the scariest spiders until a brown recluse bit me. [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline] Still 19 bites is horrifying.
This is just an example of stupidity being fatal and not a spider though. And they don't grow as big as your palm. Biggest they get is about the size of a quarter, and that's including the legs.
He worked at a horse stables, just like me!
you guys all better be thankful that we australians took all the deadly species and left you with the tame ones when evolution was dividing up the animals
Oh wow, I've seen some of them around my shed today. What a coincidence.
