I was expecting a pretty big explosion but the title makes this sound way more impressive than it actually is. I guess i'm a sucker for videos with titles all in caps lock.
I didn't know there was a flashbang which "blows up" 9 times. Though i think flashbangs are somewhat useless except in a dark enviroment / night.

I would personally see flashbangs as grenade alternatives where using a grenade would also get the team outside killed, or the VIPs or whatever inside. But yeah it's prety much good for distraction.
The way it explodes looks more like an advanced firecracker.
That's awesome, it's like a firecracker.
Everyone in todays military prety much around the world uses hearing protection of somekind, You got to be prety much next to it so it would affect you as you described.
civilians or terrorists don't really use hearing protection do they
civilians or terrorists don't really use hearing protection do they
Anyone with weaponry experience uses hearing protection. Some low tier afgan guerilla fighters(AKA terrorists) don't really use hearing protection, But if we look into more organized terrorists who are looking to stay in the business longer -ya they do use hearing protection. Because the corrupted ex-spec op guys training them tell them to use hearing protection.

They especially work well for blinding you in dark. You ever tried turning a light on in a dark room, and looking directly into it? It's even worse with a flashbang. [editline]21st June 2011[/editline] Sure, toss away number 1 enemy detector, your hearing. Wearing hearing protection when you're at your base / in a room is just plain stupid. You won't know if anyone is sneaking up behind you.

Walls aren't generally blown up unless there's no other way in or if theres time and tactical reason(shortcut) for it since you can't know how big charge you need to make a new entrance. Besides, again if there's VIP inside or something other thing that should stay intact for whatever reasons, then you can't use explosives. Besides its always situation based thing, If we're talking about going into a spec ops base then there's going to be few problems, since they can't lose any team member they're most likely going to make investments regarding security. The security can be something simple as armor piercing explosive charges that are disguised into a firealarms. yay, The thing blows up and turns into liquid metal piercing everyones helmets killing the counter teams. Now obviously the bad guys of our story have time to put their shit ready. Horray for flashbangs! But seriously, Not all groups of people which one defines as terrorists or enemies are retards that have some homemade TNT strapped around them and run around with soviet AKs. But lets leave it to that i feel like fighting over this is stupid.
Anyone with weaponry experience uses hearing protection.
Firearms experience is not combat experience. I don't know an infantryman who, when in a combat zone, wore/wears ear protection. It seriously affects your ability to hear in your surroundings, so much as to be a life or death handicap.
But seriously, Not all groups of people which one defines as terrorists or enemies are retards that have some homemade TNT strapped around them and run around with soviet AKs.
Actually, that's almost every terrorist group. Though occasionally they have SMLEs and chinese/Serbian AKs.

It would make sense if you said that not being able to hear what someone in the radio or nearby you says would mean the difference between life and death, And not always your own.
Are you ten years old, or just dumb?
Say what now? (not a new invention)
Actually, that's almost every terrorist group. Well you know, they DO manifacture weapons without licence and some gun manifacturers sell guns to prety much anyone.
