• I need to kick oxy.

I've been on 30mg Oxy's for 3-4 months now. Since I started it's been every day with the exception of less than 5. In the past month I've been using 60mg-105mg per day. I usually buy 10-12 at a time but if I have the cash, I'll get 20-30. I'm doing 2-4 per day and that gets REALLY expensive. I can't afford this anymore, I am out of money and no way to make any income. I have 3 30's left. I don't plan on buying any more. I also have 1 suboxone pill that I will break into 4 pieces to try to induct. I am going to my friend's house today who has kicked opiates, worse habits than mine, many times in his life. I feel really depressed though. My days are consumed by using oxy. What will I do with all this free time? I feel like my life will be boring without getting high, but at the same time I know it's not responsible to be getting high every day (unless it's bud). I'm not sure why I made this thread. I need advice, I want support, maybe some people who have similar stories. I'm scared to stop, I need to be functional and still able to go to class.

And, you are gonna have to take about a week off, maybe a bit more if you really want to quit, because I'm pretty sure there's no avoiding withdrawal once you're hooked physically. But let someone more knowledgeable clear up those details.
I completely feel you brother, I'm trying to kick pain pills (hydro, oxy and morphine) right now myself. Ive gotten down to evey other day taking either 20-30mg oxy in the form of percs or 40-50mg of norcos and 90-120mg of morphine here and there. I still have days where I can't wait on the in between day and end up breaking my rule. I need to just stop taking them altogether, but I have alot of chronic pain too :\ I would suggest getting your hands on as much weed and benzos as you can. If you can't get benzos, get some gabapentin or lyrica. The combo of those and the weed will make it a little easier for you, but the biggest thing is you have to figure out something constructive to replace the time spent on pills. Like you said its become a lifestyle, and that my brother is the hardest part of quitting, changing your lifestyle. I've had a worsening pill addiction for about 4-5 years now and its so tough for me to change. You HAVE TO find something that you enjoy and that is productive to concentrate on. If you let yourself become idle then you will fall victim to the cravings and give in.
I don't know what to that is constructive during the time I would normally just be chilling around getting high. Today I've been home alone and I've been trying to use less than normal (not completely clean yet) and I'm going out of my mind at only 6:30PM. This sucks. Try tidying up your house/room w/e literally do productive things, things that will better yourself or your environment, not only will you get things done, but you'll feel better about yourself for doing so.
cut off all your connections, find something else to occupy your time to avoid cravings. With opiates you're gonna have to kick cravings for a few months until they get better, so its really fucking hard. instead of doing drugs i got addicted to video games :v: smoking weed helps too, i mean if anything it'd be better to get hooked on something safer/less destructive have you tried antidepressants like SSRI's? they COULD help with depression+kicking habits
I've kicked oxy before and it's a bitch. My habit was about as bad as yours is. For a while you're going to be pretty down and lose interest in shit. You just have to fight through it. The WDs are done after 3-5 days. Mine lasted 4 if I remember. Good luck and godspeed, friend.
My advice: break off half of one of your 30's and throw away the rest. It's gonna be a bitch when you're fiending and you only take a 15, but after the next few days, you should be fine. Avoid exposure to places where people are doing opiates/opioids. Quitting oxy is a good idea. All those heroin-family drugs are bad news. [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] The high isn't even fun (although it does feel fucking amazing)
wtf are you even talking about
Yeah dude, how is it not fun if you feel amazing? I can't imagine a more pleasurable drug honestly.
The high isn't even fun (although it does feel fucking amazing)
are you crazy theyre so fun, you can do anything almost effortlessly and it makes you way more sociable
are you crazy theyre so fun, you can do anything almost effortlessly and it makes you way more sociable
Yea if there's any downside it's the nausea or dizzyness, but those are easily over looked.
Im one of the lucky few who don't get that I can take stuff with my friends and they'll all be vomiting or feeling sick and dizzy and ill just be there feeling great :v:
Im one of the lucky few who don't get that I can take stuff with my friends and they'll all be vomiting or feeling sick and dizzy and ill just be there feeling great :v:
Yeah I don't get much nausea at all, when I started snorting heroin, the two guys I did it with aready had a habit of like a half gram a day for several months and they would puke sometimes. I never once puked off of even the fat ass lines.

its not all in your head people just react to drugs differently
Imagine Oxy as annoying, that doesn't go away. Start to kick it as hard as you can. It will come back. But don't stop kicking, and every kicker has to be stronger than before. It can be hard at first, but muscles grow stronger. And your will to stop is a muscle.
use the last three pills to ease yourself out of the addiction.
wean off with a class 3 opiate like loretab or something
Acetub using just 3 pills to "ease" out does not change a thing..The w/d is still hell to go through with took me 2 weeks to get off of 30mg oxies cold turkey I was prescribed em got tired of opiates flushed them infact it will just prolong it if you keep meds to curb any opiate detox..Including getting a weaker opiate. Sorry btw it took longer for me because I was on it for 6 years. You it should be around 7-10 days of the physical...Then it's all mental.
I got helped to stop oxies (when my doctor stopped my prescriptions) with tramadol or codeine and weed. So, just take some 300 mg of tramadol or 200 mg and more of codeine and smoke weed during your sevrage. It helped me but be careful to not being addicted to those other opiates. Some people could say I'm wrong... Maybe. But I was on oxies for 7 months and I abused them (in fact it was a 2 years treatment so that's why I got a lot of prescriptions). Note that Facepunch isn't a doctor, and you can't find real medical advices on the Internet, they might be wrong. If you really want to get rid of it, ask your doctor for a detox. He is a professionnal, he knows what to do to help you. I hope you'll find a way to get this shit out of your life. Good luck man.
you really dont want to get addicted to tramadol though because those withdrawals are ruthless as fuck
I suggest tapering off with darvocet or codeine. They're the stuff you can get on and not feel awful withdrawals with when you stop.
to elaborate on how bad tramadol withdrawals are once you are physically addicted (it does however take like 3 months to get addicted) you can have seizures
to elaborate on how bad tramadol withdrawals are once you are physically addicted (it does however take like 3 months to get addicted) you can have seizures
Yeah, tramadol can also causes epilepsy and other similar disorders. I never got any of them as a frequent user.
it can't cause epilepsy get your facts straight seizures dont mean you have epilepsy, epilepsy is an illness whereas seizures can be cause by lots of things. I have used tramadol a lot as well, you only really run the risk of seizures at quite high doses unless your seizure threshold is quite low or if you are addicted for a long time.
Oh, excuse me, I was thinking about convulsions when I talked about epilepsy :S.
its ok man I know english is not your first language, Imagine my post being read in a calm voice just explaining concisely where you were wrong in a nice way rather than being angry. If I don't swear or insult you in a post in means I am not angry and am calm.

We're talking to put the light on true or false facts related about drugs, that's why we are here ^^
I have a lot of oxy left over from when I had a chest reconstruction... street value $1500 or so.
