Dice didnt make the singleplayer btw, Motive did. Also Idens story was trash but the standalone missions with the heroes were pretty good honestly.

And suddenly, BAM; dunkview did the impossible: [t]https://my.mixtape.moe/efkaue.PNG[/t]

The story could have been good if they actually showed Iden [sp]actually committing to the Empire instead of seeing one atrocity close-up (after years of training and becoming a Commander AND Imperial SOG) and being like holy shit the Empire is bad only when it affects me personally[/sp]

I like how it conveniently hid all that shit in trailers and trial and just pulls a bag off your head after 3 goddamn missions

Did she not think about the innocents there, too??? I'm sure there were Empire loyalists on that planet. Not to mention that planet from Rogue One (I can't remember the name rn), wasn't that shanty town place they blew up an Empire outpost? [/sp]
Anyone who didn't see it coming the literal moment the campaign details were announced was delusional.
lol the thing is, obvious or not, they marketed the game heavily on a story spanning 30 years of the empire from Endor all the way to the foundation of the First Order. Even in interviews the directors and designers were talking about "oh we get to see all the decisions and ways of thinking of the Empire and we get to explore why Inferno Squad believe what they do and you get to understand why they agree with the Empire behind the helmet" and then in the game the "30 years" is a literal time skip
If they wanted Iden to defect, she should have had at least a moment where the corvus crew was factionless, doing mercenary work or stuff like that. The game felt like everything happened in a day or 2.

[/sp]
Exactly. It's wildly inconsistent with the Empire's own actions during the bulk of Iden's military career. [sp]Maybe if they allowed you to play through, or at least experience some of those events through her eyes, implant the seed of doubt as far back as ANH, giving her 4 years to be a loyalist until she eventually realizes the Empire is no good. They could even do those battles as flashbacks, show Iden watching as Alderaan is blown to bits after they fly off from some kind of ground incursion, then you can parallel that with her eventually realizing that the Empire does this to everyone.[/sp]

EA is known to be shit. The first game was also shit. Are you really surprised that EA, a shit company, making a sequel to a shit game would also infact be shit?
oh my god he used the fucking Rogue Squadron menu theme aahhh my childhood nostalgia is through the goddamn stratosphere
Seems we finally got Spore 2.

They just made the story's theme out to be something completely different than what it was.

I know this writer is ecstatic for how amazing it will be but he should contain his excitement, we all know it'll be great haha right guys man I can't wait to see what great spending opportunities to be proud of we get
He's pretty on-point with everything but vehicles The mouse controls for flying are genuinely the best I've ever seen in a game, and the way to play starfighters on infantry maps is to use them as if you're flying a dive bomber. There isn't enough room to do strafing runs, you fly straight up and then straight down, shoot some boys, then pull up before you crash or get blown up.
