Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam cracked open the door to a full no-contract wireless world.
McAdam said it was "pretty easy" to change up the model to eliminate contracts, and added that he would watch the consumer response that T-Mobile gets from its recent decision to drop contracts and phone subsidies altogether. He indicated a willingness to follow suit if consumers start asking for it.
Verizon CEO needs to lay off of the cocaine.
just imagine of EA said they'd be willing to remove always online from SimCity if "enough" customers demanded it

why do people always insist on bringing up EA in every non-ea thread
this is a videogame forum where people frequently talk about videogames, by now i'd expect everybody, regardless of their opinion on EA, would get sick of seeing the same jokes and passive aggressive statements over and over again.

Probably because every scumbag move a corporation makes, EA can be related to it from something they've already done
I don't understand why people are calling him a liar? Prepaid non contract phones exist, but they aren't a overshadowing the contracted phones. That means people clearly like the contracted service better.
I don't see what's wrong with that.
A petition should be started for this then.
why do you insist on defending EA at every turn
Someone has to be reasonable.
Spam the fuck out of his inbox. Call him on that bluff.
What are we all supposed to send a letter to him demanding no cellphone contracts? I don't care much about Verizon anyway because of their ridiculous pricing on their plans, T-Mobile has them beat in pretty much everything but cell coverage and speed, which T-mobile is trying to catch up to.
