• Tearful Joe Biden awarded freedom medal by Obama
President Barack Obama has awarded an emotional and surprised Joe Biden the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest US civilian honour. Mr Obama praised his vice-president for his "faith in your fellow Americans, for your love of country and a lifetime of service". The award comes as both men prepare to leave office when Donald Trump is inaugurated on 20 January. (...) He joked that the internet would have one last chance to mock their "bromance". The fact America is going from these two great men to evil hateful twats like Trump and Pence honestly upsets me.
He joked that the internet would have one last chance to mock their "bromance".
President and Vice-President sitting in the Oval Office looking at their own internet memes, what a time to be alive
Meanwhile, we have two literal villains waiting in the wings, gleefully rubbing their hands together.

Damn, Joe crying makes me want to cry
I love Joe
Best bromance in history, good grief.
Watching that was so heartwarming He called him his brother, truly the greatest bromance in recent times.
He joked that the internet would have one last chance to mock their "bromance".
Mock? We celebrate it!
I really wish Joe ran. He could have easily taken the election if Bernie couldn't
Why exactly is he being given the Freedom Medal? Is this a routine thing for Presidents/vice-presidents?
Meanwhile, we have two literal villains waiting in the wings, gleefully rubbing their hands together.
how melodramatic can you be lol, they might be not what you want but they are not by any stretch of the imagination villians
Why exactly is he being given the Freedom Medal? Is this a routine thing for Presidents/vice-presidents?
Both former presidents and vice presidents in the past have been selected for the award, it's really just up to the president or a board to decide who receives the award. Wouldn't say it's routine, since I believe Biden is the third vice president who has received this award.
Why exactly is he being given the Freedom Medal? Is this a routine thing for Presidents/vice-presidents?
Because he went out of his way to improve lives of american people. I think he deserves it.
Why exactly is he being given the Freedom Medal? Is this a routine thing for Presidents/vice-presidents?
Memes
how melodramatic can you be lol, they might be not what you want but they are not by any stretch of the imagination villians
Trump is actively attempting to deregulate the market in the favor of megacoroporations whilst Pence is actively attempting to strip both LGBT folks and women of their given rights. They're no Lex Luthors, but they're definitely the villains of a cheap 90's movie where the hero is a goofy chimp and a couple of pre-teens.
how melodramatic can you be lol, they might be not what you want but they are not by any stretch of the imagination villians
UM, how is taking away insurance from millions, denying climate change, wanting to fucking deny vaccines as an official policy and wantimg to cut social security not villainous? It's downright evil
i thought participation trophies were only for millennials
Obama and Biden never were the greatest leaders our country ever had, but they're a hell of a lot better than pretty much every single alternative offered to us since 2008. I'll miss them.
how melodramatic can you be lol, they might be not what you want but they are not by any stretch of the imagination villians
One supports gay conversion therapy and the other is more than willing to pull insurance out from under 30,000,000 people with no replacement among other things They might not be on the mark but they are pretty fucking close if you ask me
how melodramatic can you be lol, they might be not what you want but they are not by any stretch of the imagination villians
The guy who thinks torture is a-okay isn't a villain?
The guy who thinks torture is a-okay isn't a villain?
Not to mention killing the families of terrorists, irrespective of their actual involvement in terrorist activities.
how melodramatic can you be lol, they might be not what you want but they are not by any stretch of the imagination villians
I won't attribute his actions to malice, but to ignorance. But what he's going to do? It's going to hurt millions. If not more. There is no argument to be had here. To act like he isn't about to fuck things up is just wrong.
i thought participation trophies were only for millennials
:what:
I won't attribute his actions to malice, but to ignorance. But what he's going to do? It's going to hurt millions. If not more. There is no argument to be had here. To act like he isn't about to fuck things up is just wrong.
A combination of ignorance and malice. As Trump's Twitter tirades show with no room for doubt, he is incredibly malicious.
A very large amount of Americans will suffer and/or die because of the choices he and his staff-picks support. I mean you can be in denial about it that's fine, but it will happen.
Who wins the Superbowl this year? Must be nice to be able to see into the future.
And the new one will be a living meme
All I can think of when people say that is Monsoon from MGR, and Trump in the exoskeleton suit worn by Solidus. like this
A combination of ignorance and malice. As Trump's Twitter tirades show with no room for doubt, he is incredibly malicious.
Yeah I mean ultimately, deep down, I do think he's a malicious, hateful bully. But I don't believe Svinnik would ever read that, and then choose to respond in an honest and integral way. [editline]12th January 2017[/editline]
Who wins the Superbowl this year? Must be nice to be able to see into the future.
The suffering isn't debatable. The removal of the ACA without a prompt replacement will be a massive factor to cause suffering over the next years. There is no replacement ready. To act as if this won't cause harm because it's going to be an event tomorrow has to be one of the more shallow concepts in regards to defending Trump these days.
Why exactly is he being given the Freedom Medal? Is this a routine thing for Presidents/vice-presidents?
He has spent half a century in public office representing Americans and working to help them. He deserves it.
