So FP, soon I am getting a new guitar but I have no idea what to get.
I was thinking of getting a Jackson Rhoads but then I kind of want a Les Paul. What guitar should I get? My budget is £250.
What genre do you play?

Or for an extra £18 you can get it with a hardcase http://www.thomann.de/gb/epiphone_lp_std_eb_incl_case.htm
I forgot to mention I live in the UK.

Metal/Rock.
Metallica, Megadeth, Guns n' Roses etc.
Thomman ship to the UK - I live in the UK and I've ordered stuff from them before.

Do you know how much the shipping costs to Northern Ireland?
I can't seem to find it.
I would say go for the Rhoads if you want to play technical stuff. 24 frets and ultra-thin neck = :fuckyou:
I own one and I love it. And everyone else who has played on it always comments the neck first and how easy it is to play it. My only complaint about it is the pick-ups. They sound alright (especially if you use the right amp), but they could be better. So that is only a minor problem (and I doubt the LP-pick ups are much better anyway).

I would recommend going into a shop and trying out both an LP and a Rhoads. Like Rad says, the Rhoads has a thin neck and 24 frets, while the LP is fairly bulky and has 22. However there's no guarantee that just because you play metal means that the Rhoads will work for you.

Shipping is free on orders more than £166
I have already tried the Rhoads out and it does indeed feel nice.
I guess I'm getting the Jackson then.
Need to play both to be able to compare the two to each other man.

Thomann bros.
Thomann does good shit, well packaged for delivery overseas from Germany. I really recommend ordering from them.
I don't understand: your band needs an electric guitar, so you offer to get a banjo? Are the two interchangeable? Banjo would make you stand out more, but go to where they need you.
