Microsoft seems to like making huge props to promote their hardware. Last week, the company erected a massive working Surface 2 tablet in London. Today, the company has topped that project with a huge Xbox One console that it has placed in a parking lot on the streets of Vancouver. The fan site Xbox One in Canada first reported on the huge structure, which is 40 feet long and 20 feet wide. 1:1 Scale
I heard they had to do some upscaling on the Xbone but I didn't think they meant it literally.
As if it wasn't big enough. :v: [sp]/sarcasm[/sp]
It's almost as big as the original Xbox's controller.
Does it work with games?
It's almost as big as the original Xbox's controller.
My first thought when I saw the new Xbox was "No, that's a VCR. Where's the console?" Boy was I in for a surprise. :v:
Does it work with games?
Yes, they put a regular xbox and tv in there so they said it could work.
"it was burned due to overheating shortly after"
As if it wasn't any more useless.
Still not as big as an Xbox orginal controller. [Sp]I kid, kid, kid. Don't ban me. [/sp] But Guess that's kinda of cool.
Quick Sony, build a giant PS4 to compete with this for $100 less!
wheres the power brick?
Well thanks for taking up 12 parking spots.
Apparently zombies came out of it and there was like 12 demo units inside of dead rising 3
wheres the power brick?
the building beside it
still not buying it.
1:1 Scale
Plot twist: 1:3
Looks like ZachPL has a friend on the dumb ratings :v:
The official Xbox Canada Facebook page says that people can "pledge" their Xbox Live gamertag at the physical location, online at Xbox.ca/OneSource or via Xbox Live. Each pledge will cause the huge box to get closer to an unstated goal that when reached will cause the large Xbox One to open up with a mystery reward.
Probably Mountain Dew and Doritos
It's almost as big as the original Xbox's controller.
it's amazing how far we've come
So, they thought it was a good idea to block perfectly good parking space with their stupid promotion?
yo dawg...
But can you plug in another Xbox One into it?
[sp]The xbox will open up to reveal the next halo game.[/sp] (User was banned for this post ("this is not what spoiler tags are for" - Orkel))
That's really neat. But now they have unskippable ads on YouTube. Unforgivable :v:
FYI its filled with zombies [t]http://wpmedia.o.canada.com/2013/10/xboxonesource.jpg?w=431&h=287&crop=1[/t] [editline]1st November 2013[/editline] that's their new mod-protection system, now when you illegally break the warenty seal, a hord of tiny zombies pours forth from the bowels of your console to drag you to xbone hell
Xbone is bad but not gonna lie that's pretty neat
Apparently zombies came out of it and there was like 12 demo units inside of dead rising 3
Why the hell didn't they retrofit a tourbus for such instead? That way they could also hit many more cities faster
But where is the Kinect sensor?
wheres the power brick?
This IS the power brick.
