The series follows an FBI agent who finds himself in the middle of a network of serial killers, when a diabolical serial killer uses special technology to create it. In Entertainment Weekly, features TV writer Melissa Maerz wrote in a preview article, "Purefoy plays Joe Carroll, a former college professor who taught the works of Poe and killed young women in the gothic hero's honor—until he got caught. Since then he's been spending hours on a computer in the prison library, building a social network of copycat killers who hang on his every command. When the series begins, he's just escaped from death row with help from those followers, and the FBI calls in former agent Ryan Hardy (Bacon)—who brought down Joe the first time—to consult on the case". (stolen from Wikipedia) The show is a mix of thriller and drama genres. It's about Kevin Bacon being himself and trying to catch a serial killer he already caught 8 years ago. The pilot episode was okay, even though it had unnecessary flashbacks and implications. It has a great potential and 14 episodes to go, so I hope there will be a following here on FP. Most of the critics say that "it's okay" (it has a solid 60% on Metacritic), so I think it's worth a watch This is my first TV thread, is there anything I should add to the OP?
Seems completely generic and entirely dependent on the grimdarkness factor and big name actors based on the pilot.
I was super excited for it until I saw the pilot. Looks like primetime channels want to try to get shows like the ones on FX, HBO, and Showtime, but only see them as being dark and violent.
This is actually a really good show, i watched the fist episode and its full of suspense

The show has come to an end and I gotta say that the ending was fitting. It may not have lived up to my fullest expectations, but the outcome was enjoyable-ish. I gotta say, it didn't entirely depent on the "grimdarkness factor" but it definitely had it's dark moments. Overall, it's a 7/10 show that is worth watching if you're in TV withdrawal.

So the finale ended with a cliffhanger. Most likely Claire and Ryan will survive seeing how there's a Season 2
