The VR was codenamed "Morpheus" The PSwhatever is "Neo" And now PSV is "Trinity"
Eh, I'd take it with a shovel of salt as far as sony and anything portable related outside of japan. They were never all that great at translating their successful console IPs into portable games, and the Vita/PSPs success in japan is largely driven by demographics that don't exist outside japan. How could Sony possibly recover with another handheld after they practically scuttled the vita outside japan by announcing they weren't supporting it with first party games anymore? It's too bad really, the PSP and Vita were great hardware that were let down by watered down ports of their more powerful home console cousins, and general lack of ambition to try new things/take risks with handheld specific games on Sony's part.
Oh boy another disappointment from the Sony handheld division.
The VR was codenamed "Morpheus" The PSwhatever is "Neo" And now PSV is "Trinity"
Suddenly microsoft comes out with a vr headset codenamed 'smith'.
The VR was codenamed "Morpheus" The PSwhatever is "Neo" And now PSV is "Trinity"
Makes sense since they killed the Vita and are now bringing it back to life like Trinity in the movie.
The VR was codenamed "Morpheus" The PSwhatever is "Neo" And now PSV is "Trinity"
I should watch The Matrix again...
Well I guess sony needs to leak more money. I think its' Neo announcement, Trinity is gone. PS Vita sucked and Sony won't try again.
Just let it die SCEA, just make the PS1 games and PS4 Remote into a phone oh wait [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e5/Sony-Xperia-Play-Open-FL.jpg/250px-Sony-Xperia-Play-Open-FL.jpg[/t]
Trinity dies :v:
I should watch The Matrix again...
It's a shame there were never sequels to that movie, I think they really had something going there. Then again, it's possible they would have been no-where as good as the first and the plot would have gotten too complicated. Ah well. It's as big as a shame that there were no Star Wars films after Return of the Jedi...
Well I guess sony needs to leak more money. I think its' Neo announcement, Trinity is gone. I think the only console that managed to be marketed worse to all markets was the WiiU.

Other games, well unless your a weeb you have no reason to own a Vita. <-- Also.
Fake as fake can fake. Was debunked in the GAF thread. PS4 uses wireless adapters, and Trinity was a name the OP of that thread made up from whole cloth.
This is the Neo announcement with release date to coincide with the Playstation VR release to make massive amounts of money. Nothing else, stop thinking Vita will be revived. It won't.
The VR was codenamed "Morpheus" The PSwhatever is "Neo" And now PSV is "Trinity"
Considering the Vita's lack of things that interest me I think I'm going to go ahead and dodge this.
I won't even bother with a vita until they get rid of all the expensive proprietary bullshit
I still maintain that the Vita is the best handheld I've ever owned and Sony totally fucked it up and killed it themselves. It has the best d-pad in the freaking world. [editline]10th August 2016[/editline] [sp]I don't own a DS[/sp]
I own both, vita is way better, but has no games. Sad.
It's got like Little Big Planet and a bunch of HD collections from the PS3. You can play Metal Gear on it...
the funny thing is that you can also play mgs on the 3ds at like 10 fps
the funny thing is that you can also play mgs on the 3ds at like 10 fps
PS2 accurate, my friend, PS2 accurate. Yeah, I wish the hardware situation with the 3DS and PSV was reversed, but unfortunately for Sony the price killed it and they didn't bother picking up the pieces. The 3DS was dead much like the Vita was, but because they were able to get games on there that people wanted (such as the old PSP mainstay Monster Hunter), as well as a price drop, it rebounded and devoured the Vita whole. Had the Vita done what the 3DS did, Nintendo would have probably be on life support right now, but Sony lost faith in the Vita and dropped it like the Playstation Eye. Hopefully PSVR doesn't suffer the same fate.
the funny thing is that you can also play mgs on the 3ds at like 10 fps
It's a shame because the 3ds version is the best technical version of Mgs3 there is. I think homebrew gets rid of the frame cap though.
It's a shame because the 3ds version is the best technical version of Mgs3 there is. I think homebrew gets rid of the frame cap though.
too bad the 3ds is hindered by a poor screen resolution that looks absolutely horrendous in 2016. it's very hard to show what the screen resolution looks like through a camera lens, but here is a guerilla style video of the psvita version with the 3ds version overlayed on top: skip to 6:25
They would have to make some big changes for the handheld market to get any bigger, I just kinda expected them to give up. Thinking the sight of a 5Ghz WIFI chip means handheld seems really optimistic, why wouldn't it be the PS Neo? Or maybe any of the VR or any other sony products.
Man I don't know how I feel about a new handheld from Sony. I mean i have the vita and the 3ds but I've always found myself playing the 3ds with consistent game launches. Though I would get the vita ports over the 3ds due to better hardware but as far as games go there really wernt that much in its lifespan. Hell Sony would have to try hard to reclaim some of its lost franchises that appeared on it like monster Hunter.
don't forget that vita is the go-to platform for weeb games and vns
Hopefully it won't have another shitty proprietary memory card
The VITA was fucking great. The only reason it failed was because nobody wanted to pay 100$ for a memory card and Sony leaving it to die.
unfortunately for Sony the price killed it and they didn't bother picking up the pieces
Not to mention that you have proprietary memory cards
Not to mention that you have proprietary memory cards
That's part of what I meant, really- not only do you have an expensive handheld, but you charge exorbant amounts for proprietary storage that's way cheaper per size compared to other storage medias? Of course no one bought your shit! Sure, I had to open up the back of my n3DS to put in my microsd, but at least it cost me 30 bucks for 60 gigs or whatever. I get it, it was to stop PSP level piracy, but in the end that stunt did its damage and the Vita was DOA. Kinda sad, really
