Heya there !
Some people do not understand that this is not a workout, only a strength booster >.>
I've heard you want to add some amount of strength without putting on an ounce of weight, eh.
There are 5 techniques which are easy to pick up, but quite hard to master; if you want to call it like that.
I'd like you to test the following methods during a simple handshake with a mate of yours: both of you grip as hard as you can and you begin to add trick after trick and watch your poor mate scream in agony.
Number 1 : Make a white-knuckle fist, as tight as you can.
Do this with both hands.
Number 2 : Imagine pressing holes trough the floor with your feet.
Penetrate the ground with 'em.
Number 3 : Your glutes.
Imaging pitching a coin with your anus, as hard as you possibly
can.
Number 4 : Bringing more muscles to tighten your grip.
Move your shoulders into their sockets by tightening your armpits.
A witness would say your arms stay fully extended, "just shorter".
This makes sure you use your forearms, biceps, triceps, latissimus
dorsi and, if done properly, even your chest.
Number 5 : Your abs; one of the kings in your body.
Here's an exercise for you to practice on :
Lay down in your standard crunch position, legs angled, feet on
floor and lower back touching the ground.
Now contract your abs as hard as you can and push your lower back
through the ground, hold for some time and repeat this drill occa-
sionally.
This ensures you don't press your belly out or suck it in and
allows maximal abs power.
Now, reproduce this feeling while standing - remember the flat abs
.
There is a #6 technique, but it's too complex to explain.(Basically it's holding your breath and increasing your inner-abdominal pressure by contracting your abs and pressurizing the air via the diaphragma. This can be dangerous for your health, whatsoever.)
Those little tricks I've just described can lead to an immediate increase of roughly 20 kilograms or 80 pounds !
Here comes the explanation:
Your muscles contract through neural signals.By forcing more muscles to contract aka sending more neural impulses creates an odd radiation is created that basically cheers the surrounding muscles to contract even harder.
Currently, you use 20%-30% of your muscular potential when fully exerting your power.Even top weight lifters are only capable of using 50% of their full strength!
Practicing these drills leads to an improved connection/communication between your brain and muscles.
You are allready able to lift a car, you just don't know how yet.
But you have certain reflexes to prevent you from using 100% of your strength.
This is GOOD, however, or else you'd literally rip yourself apart.
I hope this small article helped you in some ways, thanks for your attention.
What's wrong with chin-ups, push-ups, and sit-ups? Not to mention extended jogs.
I don't understand what you are trying to impart unto us, OP.
EDIT: Oh wait, this is supposed to be like a NOS boost, but for your body, or something.
Yup. This basically lets you switch into a higher gear when performing weight exercises.
I was almost expecting at the end: "and finally, go to this website, and for just $29.95 you get the ultimate mega super excerciser home kit to tone and shape your muscles. On sale now!"
Jesus i almost went into a coma.

I remember watching something on I think Discovery. It was a show about people surpassing the normal physical limits they have. This one episode I saw talked about a situation where a guy was rock-climbing and a boulder of some sort pinned him. The body possesses the strength to move that boulder off yourself, but at a terrible cost - you will probably never be able to use those muscles again.
Or something like that, it was a long time ago.
@Smurfy : English isn't my first language, so sorry for that.

Now it all makes sense.
I used to always be picked on and harassed due to my lack of strength. But after I read this guide my body was in tip top shape and no one harassed me again!
Too bad you don't even try and instantly bash everythi-
Oh wait, this is Facepunch.
Sorry mates.

I think I remember that video you're talking about. If I recall correctly it has something to do with adrenaline rush or something. They also showed or explained a similar situation with a mom's kid stuck other a vehicle and the mom somehow gets enough strength to lift the car off her kids and pull them out.
I would try this but there's no way that I'm going to imagine that I have a coin in my ass.
Cleans and benchies.
I don't need a lil bit of strength...

I just need a lil bit o' luck.
EDIT: I just realized that almost nobody who doesn't live in New York understands that.

Imagine you're holding back the biggest poop ever

I remember seeing that the other day I think. They said something like when the body notices it is in a life or death situation, the subconcious will tell muscles to react faster and exert more strength. Though they did say that using your muscles to the 100% will destroy a lot of the tissue beyond repair. Which would lower their strength or render them useless afterwards.
i need some stength
Nothing makes you strong like hard labor. Devoted weight lifting/exercising is dumb, IMO. Go do some manual labor.

lower back through the ground
How do I do that?
How do I do that?
NO-CLIP TIME!
/end caps
First of all, this obviously is not supposed to make up for strength training; it just gives you an additional boost concerning your momentary strength.
For example:
You have some problems with the last chin-up and seemingly just can't go any further than this.
This is the moment where the "boost" comes into play and allows you to complete your set.
Regarding this fact, it doesn't add the smallest bit to your permanent strength but rather to your temporary.
@ Im-Bored
Just do it. Push your lower back as hard as possible against the ground using your abs.
Yes now I can beat people up look at my my muscles and shit
I'll just go for the occasional weight lifting and other exercises. No need to do a dragon ball kinda work out
It's not a workout, durr.
I know what you're getting at with these, but some of it just doesn't make sense. For example if I made the tightest fist I could, I'd probably fracture the finger bones in my palms from my finger tips jamming into them. When you start causing bone stress, that's when it stops being helpful.

You might as well have replaced the entire OP with:
Try to flex all your muscles at once. The combined energy helps.
You won't cause any bone problems when you make the tightest fist you could do since your own body will keep you from deploying such a tremendous power.
(By the way : If you are afraid of exposing your joints and bones to some weight, they will remain the weakest link in your strength and limit it adequate.)
Sure, it would be simpler like that. However, having some drills to concentrate on will help achieving said goal way easier and possibly even more successfull due to increased concentration on multiple details :)
