This game really sets a new standard for RTSes. This is also just in time for the release of the Mod Eastern Front which adds a soviet faction onto the game.

Please don't, Relic doesn't give a shit about it. I bought it seven hours ago and the download kept screwing up, that's not the problem with it though. When it just finished about twenty minutes ago, I ran it, installed the random crap, and it didn't work, it just refused to start. I followed a fix for the problem, which apparently only Steam users have; You just had to validate files, simple right? Nope, decided TO RESTART THE GOD DAMN 9 gig download again. Same with if you have to patch it, another 9 gigs and that is just for the original game.
Oh and a lot of the times Steam's CD Keys for the games gets you banned off the Relic network or whatever.
I didn't have any issues like that, none at all.
I had to do the redownload but that was it, other than that it worked fine for me. Though it was annoying having to make an account just to play single player (I didn't see any obvious way to bypass the login screen).
Doing a Skirmish alone is fun, but when you're playing with some friends it's much better, so you kind of need to log in to do so.
Disregard the problems I was having, it was steam having a hissy fit at this game, it works fine.
