Nine times, that is.
NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WISH) - A New Castle man's hunger for a cheeseburger landed him in jail. Fifty-two year old Gregory Jackson Sr. was so hungry this past Friday night, he called 911 to get it. Not just once, but according to the New Castle Police incident peport, nine times in about a 90 minute span.
Source I wouldn't have made him anything
Damnit the man wanted a cheeseburger. WHYY
they didn't even give him a cheeseburger? lame [editline]26th February 2013[/editline] now I want a cheeseburger, ugh
Why not just call a fast-food delivery service instead of calling 911, knowing you'll end up fucked?
they didn't even give him a cheeseburger? lame [editline]26th February 2013[/editline] now I want a cheeseburger, ugh
Same. Going to contact my local authorities to bring me one.
All I wanted was a Pepsi.
Only in Indiana. I love my state.
I wonder how the cops reacted when they picked up and hear " I would really like a cheese burger can you bring it down here please? ", then notice he never appeared in court and was warranted. Interesting story, really stupid on his end.
Wants a cheeseburger, asks for it nine times, cats have nine lives...all that's left is to listen to the 911 calls and hear if "haz" was used at any time.
Reminds me of cheeseburger josh...
Well the are supposed to protect and serve....
they didn't even give him a cheeseburger?
They were too busy catching the ever-elusive hamburglar. [editline]26th February 2013[/editline]
The real crime is that the police would rather him starve than help him.
Well the are supposed to protect and serve....
That's true here, if you're at the bar and too drunk to drive, calling the normal police station number and asking for a ride will get you a ride home.
My grandma lives here, what a small world i suppose
Why not just call a fast-food delivery service instead of calling 911, knowing you'll end up fucked?
Well, this is an obvious solution for people with common sense, but this man doesn't seem like the brightest of people. And he may have been drunk to some extent due to the fact that:
Jackson has an extensive arrest and conviction record. Most of his convictions are alcohol related.
but the article didn't state whether or not he was.
New Castle man wants White Castle.
All I wanted was a Pepsi.
And the police dispatcher wouldn't give it to me.
Wants a cheeseburger, asks for it nine times, cats have nine lives...all that's left is to listen to the 911 calls and hear if "haz" was used at any time.
seriously
"I can has cheezburger?"
Only in Indiana. I love my state.
Indiana: A southern state lost up north
Indiana: A southern state lost up north
With tons more Meth
With tons more Meth
Yeah, a southern state.
I'm going to assume that if he had gotten it, he would have asked where his drink was and refused to pay for it.
If I didn't get my cheeseburger from calling the police, I would call them back until I got it as well. Terrible customer service right there.
As hard as it is to believe, a good chunk of people really do believe 911 is some sort of everyday help out service as appose to something reserved for much more urgent or pressing matters. I've heard it time and time again.
