• How do I get a broken headphone jack out of an Ipod?
    22 replies, posted
My dad brought home an Ipod classic 160gb. It turns out that the end of a headphone jack is broken off in the audio jack. Im not exactly sure how to get the end out. Im pretty sure its just the end of a standard 3.5mm jack since thats the only size that fits in the Ipod. Also if you have any videos, pictures, everything helps. Thanks you guys.
Send it to an apple store if you don't know what you're doing if you take it apart.
try to brutal force it in
Go to some Apple Repair store

is there any of it sticking out? Get a screw remover

Magnet. A very high powered magnet.
Take, a pen. Then take a small amount of super glue or whatever glue which is really strong. And then carefully place the tip of the pen which has the glue on the end of the jack which is stuck inside the iPod. Now, you hold it in the exact same position for a few seconds, let's say twenty seconds. And then you check if it's glued onto the shit alright. Then you simply pull it out. Make sure not to get any of the glue on your fingers, 'cause that sucks. :350:
Magnet. A very high powered magnet.
That will promptly fuck up everything else as well. Take it to a repair shop, they'll have a tool for it. There's special tools that can drill into things like that and remove them, but you won't have one. Another thing you can do is put like superglue on a piece of wire. EDIT: Or like the ninja posted.

I say send it back to Apple, you can't really get it out any other way.
Magnet. A very high powered magnet.
Well played
Put your mouth on the socket and start sucking as hard as you can. If you swallow it just wait till you go to the bathroom.
Fuck, ninja'd. Anyway, do the screw remover. How did this happen anyway?
Assuming there's enough left on the end - pliers?
Put your mouth on the socket and start sucking as hard as you can. If you swallow it just wait till you go to the bathroom.
He'll be pooping GOLD then. gold plated to be exact BUT OP WILL BE A GOLDEN GOOSE
Fuck, ninja'd. Anyway, do the screw remover. How did this happen anyway?
Dunno, my dad got it from one of his students
He stole a student's ipod? Your dad must be an asshole, I hate it when teachers try to take my phone when I'm listening to music through headphones. Bad reading? Read the OP douches, it just said that he brought an ipod home

That happened to me once. I just bought a new pair of headphones, though. I'd help you if I could, sorry bro.

Take it apart (you should be able to slip something like a guitar pick between the two-piece case) and see if you can push the jack out from the other end of the input.
