do aussies not have yellow lines?
If your yellow lines mean no overtaking, then yeah, ours are just white
Stripes means it's okay to overtake, unbroken line (or double line) means no overtaking

Nah, we got whites lines mate.
On the real, the same rules apply.
Solid white line, stay where you are. Broken white line means you can merge (2 lanes on your side. There'll be a solid white to your right separating the other side of the road's two lanes.)
Some roads with only 1 lane per side has a dotted line that can be crossed. That's where all the clips of people driving on the wrong side quickly swerving back in are from. Those are on long quiet roads. Idea is you can overtake a slower car there if you think it's safe.
In America, yellow lines separate lanes heading in different directions (as well as marking the end of the lane and beginning of the shoulder) and white lines ones in the same direction

We have white ones for same direction and two white ones for opposite.

That's more or less how our yellow lines work.
Single or double solid: No passing zone
1 solid, 1 dashed: Lane with the dashed line may pass, lane with solid line may not.
1 dashed: Both lanes may pass.
White lines here govern two lanes heading in the same direction, and 99% of the time they're dashed. Solid/dashed means the same thing, though most of the time, a solid white line is gonna be six inches from a ditch, or on the leadup to an intersection, or in construction zones and only temporary.
5:45 fuck my arse
The people going over a red light or changing lanes when its not allowed (solid line) are the one that boggle my mind every time, even though I have seen these long enough now.
Especially the type who wait at the red line and then practically fuck it and go, like why?
That cab that just blows the red right into the crowd of people, man how I was hoping for some mob justice...
I love when one car goes through a red light, cars behind it will just follow and not even look.
These videos make me so angry but the Australian reactions are always on point so it's worth it
