So I decided to go on holiday. I haven't been on holiday in 9 years - so I think I deserve it.
I want to go somewhere sunny, with a nice beach. Somewhere pretty posh, without kids and scrubber families - but not that posh that it has dress codes and stuff. There will be two of us. We will be sharing a bed.
I'm planning on blowing about £5000 on it total.
I'm considering Cancun, Mexico.

Hopefully people are still scared of swine flu, so it will be nice and empty. So. I'm asking for advice. What's the weather like in Canun right now, is it gonna be hot enough? It is cool? Got a better idea?
Go on a Cruise, if you want fun go on a Carnival Cruise, if you want to just relax and enjoy it all go Royal Caribbean.

I can tell you what you shouldn't consider if you want peace; Spain, beaches are always full and there are cocking hotels and fat tourists [i]everywhere.[/i]
I did enjoy myself, but the room didn't have any windows open for a month before we came (bad luck I guess) and we never had much (or any) privacy on the beach.
Make a cruise through the carribean islands, did that 4 years aggo and it's awesome.
Cancun is fine.
No matter where you go there will always be negative reviews.

Well you would probably want to avoid the popular places because they will always be stuffed with children. And no, swine flu ain't stopping many from going on a vacation.

If you don't wanna go there, go to the Caribbean.
From what I understand Cancun is kind of Spring Break hot spot these days. So unless you're going on Spring Break then you should be fine, but expect it to be fairly touristy and somewhat populated.
If I was going to go on holiday somewhere tropical, I'd go to Bora Bora. It's fairly secluded and is one of the most beautiful tropical locations on the planet.

Come to the states and visit California. I had lived there my entire life and it's quite a nice place. They've got some amazing beaches.

I'd recommend Greece, lots of variety and most parts are still unexploited.
The Caribbean is a really great vacation spot, I definitely recommend going there, I've been there twice, both times were amazing. I guarantee someone from here is going to follow you there and stalk you, though.
