I really enjoyed the Lego Movie, but I don't think this is necessary

It's Lego. And Batman.
$+$=$$$
It looks okay. Not better than the LEGO Movie, but a fun movie if you don't mind a humorless joke or two.
You know it's going to be good when they take responsibility for Batman & Robin.
Because I'M BATMAN: The Movie w/ Legos. The Lego Movie was creative and fun, but it lost points for talking shit about Bionicle. That was the best line, and the joke was a low blow to fans.
I thought the Bionicle line was funny, and I love Bionicle.
Also was the Batcave voice Siri?
If it can somehow manage to pull the same emotional levels the lego movie did that made it more than just some kid's movie with its third act, then I'll definitely be looking forward to this.

It didn't talk shit about them, I'm still in love with them giving it a nod at all.

I want this out now and BvS not at all.
Also DC has released plenty of non connecting animated stand alone DC movies.

I think I might have missed that Bionicle joke.
Perhaps I came out a bit strong with my comment. It was still a fun movie. Didn't help that I got word that the Bionicle line was shut down and watching the movie days later on Blu Ray. Still, would have been better to include them in the movie as a cameo and not a cheap gag. It DID save Lego at one point.
The scene in question in the only good quality I can find.

Bionicle are Technic, the movie was about System.

Technic is still System.
Otherwise Wyldstyle's motorbike would have been different.
Many big sets nowadays use technic for structural purposes, and many mech sets nowadays use a mix of ratchet joints (for stability) and ball joints (for poseability).

You know what I found disappointing about it?
The lack of transparent orange chainsaw.

The movie left out many MANY themes.
Nobody sat down and was like "hey you know what, fuck bionicle fans"

yep me too
There are few arguments more inane and fascinating than those about LEGO canon and lore.

In the part where Wild Style (That's her name right?) is talking about all the different Lego universes it gives nods to many themes, and one of them was Bionicle with a shot of the original 2001 line up.
Bad quality but I found it.

I just know LEGO fans are going to be twiddling their thumbs anxiously to see how many of these new versions of the Bat-villians are going to make it into the accompanying new sets with this films. Maybe the minifigs, but the bigfigs could be less likely. I mean we're already getting a more normal-esque Killer Croc this summer.

Yeah I saw nerdster409's post and just replied right away, I saw the error of my ways very quickly. Give me all the clocks.
As much as I loved the Lego Movie, it was a mild bummer that a lot of the themes I loved growing up got ignored.
