Facepunch ratings; What they mean and when to use them

It shows an agreement in opinion. It can also be used as a shortcut of "Yes", instead of just posting "Yes"

It shows disagreement in opinion. Not to be confused with the "Dumb" rating. Can be a shortcut to "No" instead of just posting "No"

It is used to express a comical situation, whether it be a funny story or a news pun, use this instead of just replying "Lol"

It is used for 3 main reasons: When someone posts something you didn't know, and when someone posts something so extraordinarily obvious and thinks it's new (As in: "No shit, Sherlock")

Informative is also used when somebody says something random and disgusting, "I just stepped in my cat's shit. It really smells."

It is used to express care, concern, and is also used to show that you just creamed over a picture of a cute cat, instead of posting "N'AWWWWWWWW". Can also be used to show love towards your fellow man.

It is used mostly in a help thread, if someone needs help, you give it to the first person to solve your problem. Also, in the GMod section, when someone makes a useful script, SENT, SWEP, etc., you should be sure to give them a wrench for their hard work.

[B]Optimistic, or "Rainbow" mark (More commonly known as the GAYbow)[/B]

Used for 1 reason: When someone says something oddly homosexual, if not bi-curious. Not to be mistaken with the more childish form of gay (That's so gay), using "Gay" as a synonym for "Stupid". This is used for actual homosexual posts.

[B]Artistic, or "Palette" mark[/B]

Can be used in lieu of useful; Used when someone makes a creative new thing, whether it be a cool GMod script, or a filter-raped screenshot, if you like it, and it's original, use this.

Used when...

1.) a user misses the point by a few pages
2.) a user talks about something that happened a long time ago as if it were new

Can also be used when a poster speaks of time, but only used in this manner as a joke.

In which case, rate them box
