Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton said Sunday that he has not seen evidence that the Obama administration wiretapped Donald Trump or Trump Tower during the campaign. "I've seen no evidence of the allegations we've seen in the media. Whether that's a potential application or denial of the application, or a submission of the application or surveillance," Cotton said on "Fox News Sunday." "It doesn't mean that none of these things have happened, just means I haven't seen them yet. I would not want to speculate about media reports based on anonymous sources. "I would prefer to deal with facts," the first-term Republican said, a member of the Select Committee on Intelligence.
Politico That's 3 GOP members now sick of Trumps shit.
maybe it was putin
Too bad, it sounds like conservative voters, Not just Trump Voters are in Furor, and now comparing this to Watergate. Edit: Fuck off
is there a ticket back from bizzaroland? like the president has the ability to declassify anything like this but he isnt doing anything other than make bullshit claims
Too bad, it sounds like conservative voters, Not just Trump Voters are in Furor, and now comparing this to Watergate.
If Trump voters accept this imaginary crime as the next Watergate while ignoring any and everything that Trump and his team have been doing, then by all means, let's investigate. Maybe once this is proven categorically false, and once Trump continues to out himself as being someone worth investigating, like he is doing now by implying that there was enough to convince the FISC that he needed to be listened to as a potential agent of a foreign power, people might actually look at him for what he is.
Too bad, it sounds like conservative voters, Not just Trump Voters are in Furor, and now comparing this to Watergate.
This was difficult to comprehend. Anyway, they can compare this to Watergate all they'd like, but if there is no evidence (also stated by Clapper) then their theory does not hold. Besides, a president cannot order a wiretap.
So how do we begin the slow process of leading these people back to reality?
Never, Trump's going to stay pres because A lot of Conservative voters believe this. They Believe Obama was also spying on Tea Party Groups and Congress. In fact: they now believe russian allegations are innuendo not actual fact.
Never, Trump's going to stay pres because A lot of Conservative voters believe this. Proof: (starts at 38:44) You just have to talk with them.

Trump supporters will never accept anything he says as being "categorically false".
But the fact there's no evidence is 100% undeniable proof there's been a cover up!

Edit: Fuck off
Yeah this shit is just about trying to drive the narrative away from how the highest office in their own party turns out to be a colossal fuck-up. Gotta keep herding those sheep to the slaughterhouse.
I wouldn't be so optimistic. Trump supporters will never accept anything he says as being "categorically false".
depends what you mean by Trump supporters. his cult certainly won't but the 10,000 or so people who handed him the electoral college might.
How can you get evidence if obama didn't even do such thing?
I wonder what Obama thinks when he reads headlines like these.
I wonder what Obama thinks when he reads headlines like these.
"Guess I thought the GOP wouldn't be this stupid."
It wasn't the phones Obama tapped, it was Melania
I wonder what Obama thinks when he reads headlines like these.
I imagine his reaction is something like this.
Sane people surprised:
Update: Apparently FOX NEWS Has a Different Reporting.
Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton expressed Sunday that President Trump’s accusation that the Obama administration wiretapped Trump's presidential campaign is certain to be included in the Senate Intelligence committee’s ongoing probe into Russia’s possible efforts to “undermine the U.S. political system.” “We’ve already begun an inquiry on the intelligence committee into Russia’s efforts to undermine confidence in our political system,” Cotton, a Republican committee member, told “Fox News Sunday.” “That inquiry is going to be thorough, and we’re going to follow the facts wherever they lead us. And I’m sure that this matter will be a part of that inquiry.” Cotton spoke one day after Trump said former President Obama ordered Trump Tower wiretapped and minutes after the White House called for congressional investigations into the matter. Cotton also said he didn’t know whether the Obama administration received the requisite federal court order for such wiretapping, which requires some evidence of a crime. And he repeated that he’s so far seen no proof that the Trump campaign successfully conspired with the Russian government to defeat Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. “I’ve seen no evidence,” Cotton told Fox. “And, again, I would just say that media reports have gotten pretty far over their skis over this.”
Yeah, looks like Politico misinterpreted what he was saying. Now is not the time for the press to keep jumping the gun...
Maybe it's because Trump made it up?
