During this busy season of video game releases the team at Devolver Digital realize that not every game will live up to expectations. One such game has been Medal of Honor: Warfighter - yet another military shooter where cover is king and most folks spend their time peeking out form behind a wall or a strategically placed concrete barrier. That shit is weak. That’s why we’re pleased to announce the Serious Sam3: BFE “Warfighter-fighter” program. Over the next week we will be offering 100 free Xbox LIVE Arcade downloads for Serious Sam 3: BFE to some of those affected so they can get up from behind that wall and get back to the unleashing heavy ordinance upon a horde of brutal aliens just like our forefathers. Stand up and make your voice heard by simply tweeting your concerns about the stagnant modern military shooter with the hashtag #SeriousSam3XBLA and you’ll be entered for a chance to win a Serious Sam 3 download - the perfect remedy for mundane, cover-based shooters. For those that avoid Twitter at all costs you can also post the same to the Serious Sam Facebook page at facebook.com/SeriousSamFan.
http://www.devolverdigital.com/post/34307581615/warfighter
cervicalgia from peeking over chest high walls all day long #SeriousSam3XBLA
oh man this is just cockslappingly insulting
Having completed the Warfighter singleplayer campaign, I can safely say that there were a couple of fun moments (car chases come to mind) but overall I'd give it a 4/10. I mean, someone really poured their soul in this game. Shame the end product is just so mediocre. The campaign was better than Battlefield 3's though.
that's not saying much
The game is bad, don't buy it. Oh, and I should explain - when I say that someone poured their soul, I mean there are little things that really show it. For example - the gun models are all beautifully modeled down to every detail. You get to keep a bullet in the barrel if you reload with a non-empty mag. Small stuff like that. It just makes me sad that all of this effort was wasted. How in the name of fuck could you miss the part where I said "there were a couple of fun moments (car chases come to mind)"?

Whenever I see a game like MOH I just think "Oh another".
Yeah I know I was speaking more generally about how people say the whole game was bland and boring.
I see. Well yeah - that was genuinely the best part of the game for me. The level with the flooding (hurricane or something) was really nice as well.
Whenever I see a game like MOH I just think "Oh another".
Make a modern world Medal of Honor game, and then plot twist: you uncover a terrorist plot to use a time machine to do something bad, and you get sent back in time to WW2 and it's actually a WW2 game like it should be.
Good :v: That was an amazing game I mean shit it has a heavy metal score + other music thats classic to SS I'd say swapping out ultra generic modern shooters for some good old fashioned genocidal shoot everything in sight is a good deal
SS1 is far more "Instant action" than ss3, but ss3 is extremely well paced. You start out thinking you're a god for taking out medium sized enemies... then you dominate bigger and bigger enemies in a matter of levels and sooner or level shit gets really serious. Go buy SS HD pack + SS3 now everyone.
Serious Sam 3 is pretty goddamn fun and well-made actually any game that can run graphics on ultra while coordinating 400+ enemies on screen at once while letting every individual enemy explode into a cloud of gore and have all their blood splatter beautifully onto your gun is pretty damn impressive I'd say swapping out ultra generic modern shooters for some good old fashioned genocidal shoot everything in sight is a good deal
Sorta on subject, has anyone played Jewel of the Nile yet? I'm curious because I may purchase but I don't know yet.
Whenever I see a game like MOH I just think "Oh another".
I still remember when it was a new MoH game and everyone went "AWESOME". Then Pacific Assault happened.
I literally saw an ad on YouTube and thought it was the new Call of Duty up until it said "MEDAL OF HONOR". I don't really have anything against these whole games anymore so I think I'm pretty neutral on the whole deal but I wasn't even looking for flaws or comparisons, it just looked exactly like Call of Duty.
SS3 is hard goddamnit. how the hell am I supposed to fight an attack helicopter, a witch, kleer skeletons, and a bionmechanoid major at the same time with low health?
[img_thumb]http://soldiersystems.net/blog1/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/MOH-SNAFU.jpeg[/img_thumb]
I'm sorry I don't speak gun, what am I looking at
I'm sorry I don't speak gun, what am I looking at
Those sights make no logical sense whatsoever
Medal of honor just needs to die already... Remember the old ones on ps1 and ps2? those were the best. They should have died after those. Even COD is better
I'm sorry I don't speak gun, what am I looking at
The front sight is a rear sight lol
[img_thumb]http://soldiersystems.net/blog1/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/MOH-SNAFU.jpeg[/img_thumb]
I'm pretty sure that's a model glitch.
I'm pretty sure that's a model glitch.
Pretty sure the devs are just inept. I don't see any glitches there.
I still remember when it was a new MoH game and everyone went "AWESOME". Then Pacific Assault happened.
Pacific Assault was a great game.
Pacific Assault was a great game.
There was honest-to-god character development to start with. No one in the squad came off as disposable emotional torque and they didn't die in a cowardly ambush or heroic sacrifice. And they just about followed orders. I really miss being worried that my squad is going to die instead of waiting for the narrative to put them out of their misery.
I still remember when it was a new MoH game and everyone went "AWESOME". Then Pacific Assault happened.
I loved the original MOH's but then shit got bad when they entered the modern scene, I'm not saying the newer games are completely terrible but they're distasteful for me.
You get to keep a bullet in the barrel if you reload with a non-empty mag.
Haha, really, no way. It's not like pretty much every other modern shooter currently out has the same mechanic now or anything.
Medal of honor just needs to die already... Remember the old ones on ps1 and ps2? those were the best. They should have died after those. Even COD is better
Hey now, Allied Assault + addons were awesome.
I grew up with MOH:AA, so I preordered MoH to get into the multiplayer beta, and thankfully ended up canceling my preorder.
