Did you go with a private tour guide? Im going there in a few weeks myself , but i thought they had prohibited entry to most surrounding buildings or something (might have misread) also i really hope it stays snowy like in the video, makes it all look way cooler

Really fucking cool
This is quality, man. How difficult is it to get a tour around Chernobyl? It's something I've wanted to do for years.
"An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: FfKpvTg8ppAkITqU)" Any one else have this problem?

Seems okay for me at the moment, not sure why that's happening! [editline]13th February 2017[/editline]
This is quality, man. How difficult is it to get a tour around Chernobyl? Solo East are meant to be quite good, or I can put you in contact with the guy who did mine - he's a really nice guy and he's very knowledgeable about the area and the accident.
How much did you paid for your guide?
$435 per person in a group of 5
Were there any places you couldn't go? Were you at any danger from radiation? I was actually under the impression simply going to Chernobyl was dangerous as all hell.

I've been to Chernobyl last autumn with my mate. We used a tour guide who's a friend of our friend (who is an avid Zone explorer). I can try to help any of you if you want to visit Chernobyl. If you buy your own tickets to Kyiv and your own stay, the actual trip to Chernobyl is about $200 or so (that's what we paid for one-day trip, per person, it might be a little more for a multi-day trip though). That $200 was for us two in the guides personal car and the guide was a really swell fellow. I've still got the contacts for that company (it's a company which actually employs the guides, not a general tour company), so feel free to poke me in PM if you decide up for it (only if you want to do your own trip and have Chernobyl as part of it - a complete tour of Kyiv that includes Chernobyl from whatever tour company might be easier). Most of the guides are in close contact with eachother, so it's likely that the person we did stuff with was a friend or related to the guide OP went with! I will only be in Kyiv for the next two months. Would love to give anyone a tour of the city, but I'm not gonna be in Ukraine for a long while after that.
