The Newton Project, a UK organization that's putting the complete works of Isaac Newton online, is featuring an amazing list of 48 "sins" that 19-year-old Isaac committed in 1662, according to a list he wrote. The young genius was both very pious and very peevish, having punched his sister, poked Iohn Keys with a pin, and even threatened to burn down his stepfather's house.

"Thy Day" = Sunday, by the way.
Squirting water on Thy day
Pissing on Sunday is a sin? Interesting.
At least I assume that's what it is.

Maybe he's referring to what he made his lady friend do...
:v:

I think he might mean jacking off since I don't see how taking a leak on Sunday could in any way shape or form be considered sinning, however I could be wrong.

Damn, I wish I could piss pure water. All I piss is piss.
He must've shat himself when an Apple fell on his head, he might've thought it was an Apple of Eden, a sign of God.

I just imagined a man screaming like a small girl... over an apple.

That's not what they do. Read:
"The Newton Project, a UK organization that's putting the complete works of Isaac Newton online, is featuring an amazing list of 48 "sins" that 19-year-old Isaac committed in 1662, according to a list he wrote."
"Stealing cherry cobs from Eduard Storer"
and then "Beating Arthur Storer".
What the hell did Isaac have against the Storer's :(
Making pies on Sunday night
my god.
How the hell is making a pie on Sunday night a sin...
Welp, that must mean Grandma's in hell now!
Now imagine if Newton didn't stop his research because he thought there were some things unable to be explained as they were done by God.

Going along with the "squirt" comment, I'm guessing he means "cream pie" :v:
... That is utterly confusing.
Why didn't you bold "Having uncleane thoughts words and actions and dreamese."
Sounds like he had some wet thoughts, and dreams.
Why didn't you bold "Having uncleane thoughts words and actions and dreamese."
Happy?
I almost want to think this is satirical, and Newton wrote half of those to show how bullshit the Christian religion is.
It's almost like he's trying to say "Cooking on Sunday is a sin in this crazy ass religion? But it's okay as long as you confess to Jesus. LOL"
I don't know enough about Newton to know if that was in his character or not.

Peevishness with my mother.
With my sister.

I don't know if the "With my sister" is a continuation of the previous line, or if he means that as in "Intimately" with his sister.
Sounds like a badass to me.
I'm sure it had a bit to do with Sabbath and the way you are not to tire yourself or work during that particular day/days. In his case, Sunday, the day of worship
People today take the Bible word for word and Jesus himself in the Bible said you do not need to busy yourselves with all these rules.
With my sister.
I can't believe he thought that with his sister was a good idea.
So basically he was a saint by today's standards?
