Legendary.
Somebody give this man a car commercial job.
That must have been a ton of work to put together. It looks decent too. Hope this helps him sell the car.
Not only does this serve as an advertisement for his car, but he can also use that in his portfolio if he is applying for new jobs as a 3D animation wizard.
I'm assuming he's an industry professional, and if not damn this is one heck of a portfolio piece for a future one. I hope he both sells the car and gets hired for a professional project.
Shit I'd buy it based off the ad alone, car companies need to take note.

Reminds me of the swede that wanted to sell his
Let me be the first to say that this could probably become a problem for him. He's obviously using other people's work to sell something. Don't get me wrong it's really cool, but he's pretty much fucked himself by using all of those clips unless he had permission to do so because this is pretty obviously not fair use.

It's transformative and each of the clips used are less than thirty seconds a piece.

He could probably make a decent case that this video is a parody but it would probably be up to the judge.

Ok I read up on it and according to this (https://www.copyright.gov/fair-use/more-info.html) website I don't think it's as clear cut as you do. However it does say
Courts look at how the party claiming fair use is using the copyrighted work, and are more likely to find that nonprofit educational and noncommercial uses are fair. This does not mean, however, that all nonprofit education and noncommercial uses are fair and all commercial uses are not fair...
So there's obviously some degree of profit in mind when determining fair use. I'm not entirely sure that it is transformitive, especially for the mad max one. It would be one thing to show off all the cars racing but the guy with the flaming guitar, what's the purpose of him being in?
That's way too much effort for a car worth <$2000

There's plenty of subscription-based stock footage websites that literally give you their entire portfolio.
Orrrr... he bought stock footage??? There's plenty of subscription-based stock footage websites that literally give you their entire portfolio.
I don't think that footage of Mad Max Fury Road was bought from a stock footage website.
I don't think that footage of Mad Max Fury Road was bought from a stock footage website.
OK then it would probably fall under a fair use as it's only there for a few seconds. Who knows for sure.
Did any of you people discussing about his use of footage actually watch the video? He clearly says it's for personal education and practice only, and that he will work with any copyright holders who want him to remove their footage: [t]https://files.catbox.moe/g0p4ir.png[/t] I think it falls pretty clearly under fair use.
Hell, this makes me want to buy a Vitara. Seems like a decent vehicle you could get for pretty cheap these days.
Yeah, If i could see this car in the next mad max film that would be swell. It fits effortlessly into that shot.
It really reminds me of this ad, it's golden :v:

It wouldn't fly. The gizd I believe is wether it's transformative or not which I'm not sure the mad max flaming guitar guy is.

You can try and be a Google lawyer all you want, except literally no one gives a shit over a personal video someone made to sell their own singular car.
This. The world needs more of this. Btw, the vitara is a good little micro suv. It's like a jeep with less power and less room.

Him putting his car into the footage fulfills that.

I guess I leave it at I don't agree that the situation is as clear cut you believe. If anyone would like to continue discussing this send me a PM.
I can vouch for him. These cars will drive you to the moon and back.
How many Kilometres on it?
i want car commercials to be more like this, more appealing to the eye than just throwing it out on some landscape with little to no visual effects
Sorry, there are only 3 types of vehicle commercials that exist: 1. Driving through an empty city at night 2. Driving through biomes 3. AMERICA
