So tonight I was hanging out with my friend(Sally) and her friend(Shaun). We were having a good time, we drank a few beers, and of course I decide to smoke a cigarette. So I smoke, and come back up, and they were fucking around on my bed. It may be just me, or it might not, but I think it's very disrespectful to do that where I sleep without even getting permission from me. So I tell them to leave. Shaun decides to get really butthurt and begins blaming Sally, I tell them both it's not their fault, I just think it's disrespectful.
Shaun calls his house and leaves, he walks off and Sally is in tears, so I try and talk to her to calm her down and shit, explain my side of the story. Of course that doesn't help her, she goes into my other friend's car(he left his car there because it was broke down) and is sitting there for a few minutes. I smoke and try and calm myself down a little. Suddenly she gets out of the car and charges me, swinging at me and basically hitting the shit out of my face. What am I supposed to do? I get angry and end up spitting my blood on her, she keeps hitting me telling me I ruined everything and she has no where to go. I grabbed her wrists and wrestled her around to hold her so she could stop and calm down. Eventually I let go and of course she is still swinging.
This moves over to the porch where she is trying to swing my head into the door. By the way, I can't hit a woman, it goes against my morals and beliefs. However, if she kept it up I would have ended up either hitting her or something and I didn't want that. I say "Stop or I am going to call the cops" so she hits me again and says, "Oh, that makes you the bigger man, huh? Call the cops then bitch"
So I sort of had to. I ended up dialing and the cops come over and I basically only tell them my friend was hitting me and I needed a cop over to make sure she was gone and not coming back. I don't tell her full name, I don't press charges, I don't tell them where she lives, nothing. After a few minutes the cop finally leaves, and pretty much now I'm here(I walked around a little and smoked some more).
I just want to know if I did the right thing, I didn't want to hit her but I don't want her to go to jail or anything either, since we go way back, I just can't have her hitting me. About a year ago she used to a lot when we drank and I tried to put up with it, just leaving whenever she did, but this time she was at my house.
Oh well, my little rant is over. I feel pretty pissed right now but I feel sort of bad for calling the cops(I don't call the cops unless it is very serious, I would rather law enforcement not come into my affairs at all), but I don't know what my other options were short of letting her hit me, which I wasn't up for.

She can become a little psychotic whenever she drinks. We usually make up but bringing the cops into the picture changes everything. We haven't fought for like a year, so I thought her psycho days were over. However, I can't really just make up with her after she's shown that all I amount to is a punching bag when she's pissed off about something.

I woulda punched that bitch in the face. There's a difference between striking a woman/beating her up for no reason and your situation. If she; 1. Can say something implying she's the bigger man, 2. Continuously swing at you, when you've given her MULTIPLE chances to get the adrenaline out and realize what she's doing and 3. Even fucking swing at you in the first place you had every right to punch her in the face. Not destroy her.. just a self defense well landed punch. Cause that's some bullshit right there. If she wants to act like a damn fighter she's gonna get treated like one.
It's also sad to see those morals sometimes because since I got into the military I've met many girls who have done SERE training and things related to that and they'd beat alot of guys asses. It's almost sexist to think you can't punch them.
But I still completely think hitting a girl for little or no reason is completely wrong.. but this situation is just ridiculous.

They were being disrespectful and the least they could have done was ask first. Calling the police is better than hitting a friend primarily when she was going psycho because she had a couple of beers and was angry. I hope this all resolves itself in the end.

A hit would have gotten her worse. If I would have knocked her down she would have gotten up and continued. She wasn't going to calm down.

He is a little bit. Not many people make me nervous but he does, he can be really shifty. I don't really trust him or anything. I was ready to get in his face for being a bitch about everything but my friend beat me to it.

She is extremely good at turning a story around, but also it's just a belief of mine not to hit someone who can't defend themselves as well as me. I'm not afraid of some big friend, since I can fight enough and I'm not really afraid of my ass being beaten(I have gotten into enough fights where a punch doesn't phase me anymore).
OP: Next time you should try to trip her down slowly and safely and just keep her down there with your foot. It always works for me when some friend is trying to hit me and because i don't want to hurt my friend i always resort to that. :fuckyou::razz:

She isn't abnormally strong but I had her down so that I had her in a sort of semi-headlock and she started screaming "I can't breath!" so I sort of had to let go, I don't want to hurt her at all, just make her stop.
