The contents of a newspaper column written by Boris Johnson urging Britain to stay in the EU have emerged.
http://news.sky.com/story/boris-johnsons-secret-remain-article-revealed-10619546
boris johnson is an irresponsible twat who thinks he's smart because he ate a thesaurus one time and keeps vomiting up the pages he belongs nowhere near government
boris johnson is an irresponsible twat who thinks he's smart because he ate a thesaurus one time and keeps vomiting up the pages he belongs nowhere near government
this is probably the most apt description of him that i've seen
this is probably the most apt description of him that i've seen
every time I hear someone say he's smart because of this insult, all I can imagine is him sitting down and memorising the sequence of words the day before he's your classic insufferable sixth former. it's such an awful insult. there's no wit, it's just a string of strange polysyllabic words and frankly I get second hand embarrassment watching him awkwardly deliver it
Johnson is one of the worst things to happen to UK politics in my lifetime. Faux intelligence and self serving politicism at its worst.
Everyone loved him up until Brexit. He really backed the wrong horse didn't he...
He wanted power, it was an absolute power play from him and not designed to appease either his constituents or the public. But he got burned by Gove and Cameron. Now he's in a very difficult position that likely won't lead him to the Prime Minister's job. And for that, I am glad. I will gleefully celebrate the day that Farage, Johnson and Gove are held in the same esteem as your lad Guy Fawkes - and trust me, I'll certainly be treating them as Cromwells and Little Englanders.
Everyone loved him up until Brexit. He really backed the wrong horse didn't he...
Not me, he was always a self-serving fuckwit who hid it (apparently successfully given that you're right that most people did love him until Brexit) behind a facade of genial, good old boy buffoonery.
If anyone actually read the article he wrote in favour of remaining they'd realise that far from being a self-serving politician he actually made a decision which could have jeopardised his entire career but made it anyway because he sincerely believed that Leaving was the best option. The Remain supporting article is pretty much a highly critical but sycophantic plea to support David Cameron, which had he published instead of his Leave supporting article would have brought just as much if not even more criticism for being a cynically self-interested move. To be honest I don't know why anyone cares what Boris Johnson thought anyway. I highly doubt that anyone changed their mind because of what his poisition was.
if anyone really ever thought boris was just a loveable old goofball before brexit then they must have been fucking blind, he's always shown himself to be a self serving vile human being, he fucking came out in favor of presuming people guilty before innocent at one point, he really is a classic tory nutter

If all they see from him is shit like this: then they are going to have skewed views.
Johnson was always self serving and him lumping himself in with Brexit was always a calculated move to help him become Tory leader one day. I don't think he actually intended to get Britain out of the EU and I honestly do think based on his behavior immediately following the referendum result that he didn't expect to actually win.
Everyone loved him up until Brexit. He really backed the wrong horse didn't he...
Everyone in London has seen him as a incompetent, self serving bastard for quite some time. He did start out popular here though.
all this shit happened because bozza wanted to have his cake and eat it man loves his cake
Well Boris had always spoken favourably about the EU prior to joining the leave campaign, it was quite obvious he only joined leave so he could compete against his long time rival Cameron. I imagine he was hoping for a narrow remain victory, enough to stay in the EU while still making Cameron look weak. Instead the whole thing backfired on both of them.
