Spokeswoman Hua Chunying, speaking at a regular press briefing on Monday, also urged the US to "pay attention to the international community's concerns and demands and give … the necessary explanation" of its surveillance activities. Her remarks were in response to questions from two state media organisations. She had previously declined to comment on the 29-year-old's case, or his claims that the US had hacked targets in Hong Kong and on the Chinese mainland. On Sunday former US vice president Dick Cheney told Fox News that Snowden was a "traitor" and questioned his decision to travel to Hong Kong. "I'm suspicious because he went to China. That's not a place where you would ordinarily want to go if you are interested in freedom, liberty and so forth," Cheney said, adding: "It raises questions whether or not he had that kind of connection before he did this." Cheney suggested that Snowden could still have confidential data and that the Chinese would "probably be willing to provide immunity for him or sanctuary for him in exchange for what he presumably knows or doesn't know".
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jun/17/edward-snowden-not-chinese-spy-beijing
"I'm suspicious because he went to China. That's not a place where you would ordinarily want to go if you are interested in freedom, liberty and so forth,"
but it is the sort of place you go when America and all its European fuckbuddies want to arrest you...
Dice Cheney is one of the most dense motherfuckers I've ever heard. And I can't believe that guy managed to be vice president! I think he's expecting Snowden to pull of a latex mask and show everyone he's secretly a Chinese agent
"I'm suspicious because he went to China. That's not a place where you would ordinarily want to go if you are interested in freedom, liberty and so forth," Cheney said
As opposed to the United States currently?

Yeah because lately America seems to be the pinnacle of freedom and liberty, right?
"That's not a place where you would ordinarily want to go if you are interested in freedom, liberty and so forth,"
Seems like now it is unfortunately. China would't give into western governments demands right? Sovereignty and all that.
On Sunday former US vice president Dick Cheney told Fox News that Snowden was a "traitor" and questioned his decision to travel to Hong Kong.
Hmm that's a serious char... oh wait Cheney is being his hypocritical self again.
Cheney is a terrible human being.
It's funny. If he stayed in the US, they would have arrested him and sent him to some goddamn hell hole, so he leaves the country and they're all like, "Aww Snowden, why don't you come back? Wtf man, are you spying on us?"
Croak already you old man. And take Kissinger with you. Fars I'm concerned, Snowden and Manning are the types of people we need staffing government, and yet they're the abnormalities.
Yeah because lately America seems to be the pinnacle of freedom and liberty, right?
Compared to China? I'm all for poking the US for hypocrisy, but that doesn't mean we should let China use the likes of Snowden as a brush for whitewashing.
cheny is a chive ass mothafucka
Cheney is a terrible human being.
You have made a critical error.
That's exactly what they'd say if he were a spy!
What is this the Cold War, where those commie bastards are spying on us. Whose dumb idea was...
Dick Cheney told Fox News
Ohhhhhhh
Hmm that's a serious char... oh wait Cheney is being his hypocritical self again.
What would you call someone who breaks their most basic oath to their country and deliberately releases information that could lead to their countrymen being killed?
It's funny. Instead he's fled from justice and gone to one of our biggest intelligence rivals. Doesn't exactly look good for him.
