The Facebook post heard around the world: http://www.snopes.com/un-vehicles-in-southern-states/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3661842/What-military-trucks-doing-Virginia-Bemused-motorists-spot-white-combat-vehicles-interstate.html
Fernando Johnson questioned online: 'Tactical Vehicles, with bullet proof glass? Whatever could those be for, and why are UN vehicles here, in THIS country?!' Meanwhile, Vincent Sammons noted on Facebook: 'They are sealed against gas too.' Another online commenter said: 'We have U.N. vehicles being shipped on U.S. highways. One has to wonder why?' Bobby Wayne Guinn posted on Facebook that he had witnessed similar scenes in Texas. He wrote: 'Wondering why 30 United Nations vehicles, fully loaded with combat-prepared troops, were driving down our highway in Dallas, Texas.' His post sparked website Liberty is viral to ask: 'Are these U.N. troops here preparing for economic collapse in America? Is this related to Iran ships approaching the U.S. border?' while Alex Jones posted a video warning of the 'U.N. takeover of America.'
Can you guess the actual explanation? Click the spoiler tags to DECLASSIFY the shocking truth
[sp]The rumor-debunking website Snopes contacted Alpine Armoring, the manufacturer named in the Daily Mail report, and found the vehicles were made by American workers for the UN to use abroad. The UN trucks are then driven by flatbed trucks on the interstate to their final ports of call. Similar sightings in October 2014 sparked fears of martial law or a UN takeover, which Snopes pointed out had not taken place.[/sp]
http://www.rawstory.com/2016/06/conservatives-freak-out-over-un-takeover-after-spotting-trucks-made-in-virginia-and-sold-overseas/
The U.N. couldnt fight off a home invasion, what makes them think they are gonna take over
Daily Mail? Check. Batteridge's law? Check. Idiotic Facebook post? Check. Yeah smurfy, this is "basically" news.
People like this are my favorite to hear about. Turning the simplest oddities into "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE OH GOD WORLD GOVERNMENT CHEMTRAILS"
UN takeover
You mean the thing that we are already in and has essentially already "taken over" the US?
A UN takeover would imply they have any real power over other countries :v:
The U.N. couldnt fight off a home invasion, what makes them think they are gonna take over
isn't like the UN's "home" New York City anyways?
I find it hilarious that this has happened more than once. Maybe they should start covering the vehicles so that random motorists don't choke on their morning coffee when they see them.
They're were in storage and are being shipped. I see my local Army Reserve hauling HMMWVs up on trailers every 3 months. These type of people are dumb. The cheapest and safest way to move vehicles is by semi or train. You can haul more of them with less man power.
fully loaded with combat-prepared troops
This guy is fucking nuts.
isn't like the UN's "home" New York City anyways?
In the US, yes. Elsewhere that'd be Brussels or Hague.
there are some real fucking nutters on this planet and by some I mean a lot
I find it hilarious that this has happened more than once. Maybe they should start covering the vehicles so that random motorists don't choke on their morning coffee when they see them.
Just slap a sign on the side saying "Proudly made in the USA to support the UN intervention in _____" (if no specific force can be named, just name a continent; anyone concerned about a UN takeover probably thinks Africa is a country). Turns it from a potential PR flap (loud idiots may be idiots, but they're good at attracting reporters) into free advertising.

He's a fraud, not nuts.
Americans are so unfamiliar with domestic manufacturing and exports that we literally get spooked by the sight of it.
Americans are so unfamiliar with domestic manufacturing and exports that we literally get spooked by the sight of it.
Nah, just the average Coast-to-Coast AM caller grasping at straws to support their crazy conspiracy theories. See stuff like that all the time, once saw someone post pictures of military vehicles (Bradleys in this case) moving near Chicago via rail (We move hardware by rail all the time, it's cheap) and people jumped to the conclusion the military was going to declare martial law in Chicago. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ [editline] Found it.[/editline] Found it
You mean the thing that we are already in and has essentially already "taken over" the US?
actually it's more like we've taken over the U.N.
InfoWars flipped their shit a while back about this... Sad conspirationists.... Globalists taking over US, forcing them to accept illegals through the South border, tuberculosis pandemic, blablabla...
He wrote: 'Wondering why 30 United Nations vehicles, fully loaded with combat-prepared troops, were driving down our highway in Dallas, Texas.'
They're on flatbed trucks ya fuckin' wank.
They're on flatbed trucks ya fuckin' wank.
Don't you get it - those flatbed trucks are like aircraft carriers...except tiny, on the road and with no crews.
Americans are so unfamiliar with domestic manufacturing and exports that we literally get spooked by the sight of it.
It's really bizarre. Whenever the government in here arranges a war-based business deal overseas, people instantly praise them for the millions of profit in things like arms sales despite the fact that they might as well be selling equipment to Satan. So seeing Americans being clueless or tinfoiling about it is just hilarious.
Imagine being so crazy you actually thought the UN could achieve anything militarily.
I still remember seeing a train load of M1A1's, Humvees, and other misc equipment when I was a kid and the rollup to Iraq War was just around the corner. Now those were some scary goddamned times, especially when the armory I lived next to was completely emptied of military vehicles. [sp]I should note that this was in Colorado at the time, and for us to see our military kit being shipped out, you knew bad things were going to happen.[/sp] I can't imagine what this guy would think if he actually lived near anywhere they move military equipment around frequently, he'd have a stroke.
Yes, a couple dozen UN trucks are totally capable of enforcing martial law in the US. If your conspiracy theory can be debunked by common sense, you probably aren't the brightest bulb in the chandelier.
Americans are so unfamiliar with domestic manufacturing and exports that we literally get spooked by the sight of it.
To be fair, even though half the world imports military hardware from the USA, only the UN will likely have identifiable markings (put on it in the USA)
Civil War 2.0 soon, fellow Face-punchers. :tinfoil:
He wrote: 'Wondering why 30 United Nations vehicles, fully loaded with combat-prepared troops, were driving down our highway in Dallas, Texas.'
The most efficient way to move combat troops is to load armored cars onto flatbeds with the troops in them.
The reason they look "combat prepared" is because wearing flak jacket and helmet is required when in these vehicles.
Americans are so unfamiliar with domestic manufacturing and exports that we literally get spooked by the sight of it.
To be fair, I'm sure lots of people don't believe we manufacture or export anything at all because "it all went to China" :v:
Stuff like this always makes we wonder what people think seeing different sticks of a convoy heading to 29 Palms for training, from Pendleton :v: It's a 4-5 hour drive via humvee through populated areas and vast stretches of freeway.
Imagine being so crazy you actually thought the UN could achieve anything militarily.
spoilers: the people that complain about the UN being a complaint-letter-sending organisation are probably the same people that would flip their shit if the UN had any power see: idiots shitting themselves over UN trucks on flatbeds
