Can't believe it's been 5 years since he died.
Some of the things I read in this article are really shocking and I had no idea about.
Michael Jackson may be the only human ever to go two months without REM -- rapid eye movement -- sleep, which is vital to keep the brain and body alive."The symptoms that Mr. Jackson was exhibiting were consistent with what someone might expect to see of someone suffering from total sleep deprivation over a chronic period," Dr. Charles Czeisler testified at the wrongful-death trial.
Jackson could not do standard dances or remember words to songs he sang for decades at rehearsals, according to e-mails sent between show producers and choreographers. He became paranoid, was talking to himself and hearing voices, and experienced severe weight loss, Czeisler said. "I believe that that constellation of symptoms was more probably than not induced by total sleep deprivation over a chronic period."
holy fuck
Holy crap times sure flies
Jesus christ, I can't believe it's been that long. I still remember all the corny jokes people made about his death :v:
Due to the fact that Michael Jackson is 90% plastic, he will be melted in to lego blocks so little kids can play with him for once!
correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it possible to get close to the threshold of death from lack of sleep after just 7 days without it? If he survived 2 whole months without it, holy shit; I can't even imagine how torturing that must of felt for him.
Feels just like yesterday I was watching his whole court ordeal with his kids; time flies

it wasn't total sleep deprivation though, he just wasn't reaching an important stage of sleep which is still bad but not the same thing.
Billy Mays also died around the same time, nearly 5 years ago. It feels like it was only 2 years ago
Uncanny as hell that I heard about his death while me and my buddies were playing Halo 3 on someone's "Michael Jackson's Mansion" map (With a zombie-mode called "Michael Jackson" of course).
Damn shame to remember that is an era long past.
Oh yeah, Michael Jackson died.
That happened.

@1:37 where the chorus kicks in, watch those people just drop hearing it.
Great man, sad end.
dying is really good for your legacy

just ask any mass shooter
Part of me wished that he would have burst out of his coffin during his mega-funeral-concert thing and perform the greatest comeback ever.
What if, though?
Would Michael Jackson have even had a huge comeback? Sure, he had a European tour planned, but would it have been enough to revitalize his career?
We'll never really know for sure.
What if Michael Jackson had stayed black?

MJ probably could've looked like that if it wasn't for all the plastic surgery.

There's actually a sickness where you can't enter deep sleep. And sleep drugs only make it worse. The current record holder on survival length has 3 years or so. Apparently with all kinds of meditation. The median survival length after onset is six months.
MJ probably could've looked like that if it wasn't for all the plastic surgery.
Nah, he suffered from some skin condition and did get quite a lot of hits to his face. It was a combination of skin condition | plastic surgery | injuries that turned him into a ghoul. Hell if you change his skin tone, a lot of the featuers will look the same.
Billy Mays also died around the same time, nearly 5 years ago. It feels like it was only 2 years ago
Oddly enough, Jackson's death feels like it occurred much more recently to me, while Mays' death feels like it occurred much longer ago.

He also had lupus, which is one bad motherfucker of a disease.

For a short time I actually thought that might happen.

L... Lando Calrissian?
Jesus Christ I wish people would shut up about him. He's still fucking on tour!

We'll never really know for sure.
I don't think a huge comeback, but certainly one. If you watched This Is It, you would've seen the concert would've been spectacular if Jackson was alive.
