Reminds me of the time when the guy set himself on fire outside our Hospital. He wasblack and his skin was burned so badly it turned completely white. He kept screaming "why did I do this" while he was alight. You could smell the burning flesh from my clinic. Death by immolation is not a pretty way to go.
The burning didn't even immediately kill him. He died of an infection a couple months later (due to his burns).

I remember I read a thread on FP with the chinese guy who light himself on fire in protest for something (??) and it was all emotional etc. But since then I feel like I've seen this happening weekly in the media.
It's like it's getting old and people are doing it "for the wrong reasons".
I doubt lighting yourself on fire in protest is something new, so it's just the media ruining it I guess.
